If designed to the same max load, a 35 mm bar is approximately 10% stiffer. The required cross sectional area of the 35 mm bar is also smaller, so it would be lighter. Below is an example where the bar is evaluated as a basic cantilevered beam where the length is 400 mm and the load is 450 N. r1 and r2 correspond to the 35 mm bar and r3 and r4 correspond to the 31.8 mm bar.

Jokes on them I've been using 2.3mm TRP rotors for years! The 2.3 Lewis rotors are good value too. I originally switched to these because I like quick biting brakes with little free stroke. I'm a weirdo that actually likes the SwingLink in the Mavens.

Still a few loose ends, but looks like this thread is pretty much wrapped up. And you know what that means? Time to head over to Vital MX for Supercross Season! If anything can top Gwin to Frameworks, it's the 2026 SX team changes. Tomac to KTM, Sexton to Kawi, Roczen & El Hombre kick starting it together on Suzukis, Bam Bam on a Ducati, brand new Yamahas for the Coopers, and Jett to possibly miss the entire SX series. It's going to be nuts on Saturday! 🤘

Jacks announcement took a few of us by surprise last night. It's sad that one of the best riders in the world, arguably the most charismatic too is unable to secure a ride for next year and in some ways, coerced into retirement. I hope he finds a role somewhere, he would be a fantastic "face" of a company. The content would be top level. Jack is majorly responsible for MTB in Australia spreading so far, his influence on youngsters and his personal approach to grassroots racing that I have seen first hand is commendable. Oh, and just to back up my assertion of the importance of the human component, here is a screenshot of what I have ordered from Amazon. I never ordered from Amazon any bike components, but I saw this deal and wanted to give it a try. Price was 394€ by the way (including 19% VAT) for a full XX1 Eagle groupset, shipped from Europe: First time I ordered, I received a RS rear shock (OE product). Seller told me to send it back and order again. Guess what I received. The same thing went on to happen for 4 orders...

When I refer to "manpower" I am talking about our in-house capacity. We manufacture/assemble our posts in Taiwan in our own facilities with our own team of now 13 people. That means every single post is assembled by ourselves, not, as it is otherwise often the case, by a "partner"/factory/assembler who is contracted to do all the sourcing, manufacturing, assembly to get the product ready in the box to sell.
