5/16/2022 8:29am Speaking as a person who has lived/worked in countries with right-wing populist dictators, I would actually welcome the chance to live in California.

5/11/2022 12:49pm This weather is actually my reasoning for considering a move too....and Im in NorCal also. I never understood why people would want to live in SoCal to begin with unless you are into watersports and live coastal or in the southern sierras. Inland empire is a hell hole, so it surprises me not at all that people want to move away from that dumpster fire. @chaseii - I was under the impression that everyone you knew died from vaccine complications? Glad to hear you made some new friends already! I hear Texas is just starting to get really nice this...

5/11/2022 6:35am Pretty sure this was invented entirely for guys who bought a trust fork and want to double down on degrading their riding experience. Luckily for neken those type of guys ride in packs and have money to spend.

5/10/2022 1:47pm okay this just in: my elderly mother is holed up in her beach house, operating a pirate radio station for the resistance...at least that's what I take it to mean when she reported "oh, just trying to learn this ipad mini." My brother and his family report that they're "having a normal day" on the west side of LA...which probably means that they have a soccer practice or two after school and will probably grill in the backyard for dinner...yeah, sounds like they've been swallowed up by the tyrannical government too. thank you for your vigilance, soldier!

5/9/2022 12:29pm My wife and I (and our kid) are not loving California, well, So-Cal...none of it has to do with 'government'. I see that often enough and chuckle, like the govt has that much hold over your life it is quite possible you are doing something wrong. We've traveled enough in the world to know the locations we would rather be in, hope we get there-wish you the same luck in your eastward move. As for this Gwinny pad, man, what a primo spot. My wife and I owned 5 acres down the street from his spot, we were going to...

4/25/2022 7:35am Are front and rear lobsters even allowed in the UCI rulebook? This could be a major aero advantage..

4/25/2022 7:34am I didn't say it's not more aerodynamic. What I insued is that going for or defending the existence of through headset routing because of aerodynamics is, not sorry to say this, idiotic on a mountain bike. As in the gains are SOOOO marginal compared to easy fixes on so many other areas it makes ZERO sense to do it purely for aero gains. And the team mechanics will love them too. So there is no practical reason to go for internal routing, just vanity. On a mountain bike. Also, when it comes to road bikes and aero... Yeah, it matters...

4/25/2022 7:34am Yep, that's exactly why DH racers have tighter and tighter kits, 'cause there is no aero gain doing it

4/21/2022 10:43am Not sure why anyone care, or tries to compare themselves to what pro riders use, or do, or eat, or ride, or…. We aren’t pro riders, most have 9-5 jobs, families, and mediocre skills at best, trying desperately to fit rides in between house chores and responsibilities. What “we” need doesn’t even resemble what pro riders use on a race course. I dont think there’s anything ironic about any of it, we’d all be well served to ride what we feel is comfortable, available and within budget. Does anyone yearn for an F1, or NASCAR to drive daily? Are we...

4/18/2022 7:15am The holes will be molded (carbon) or predrilled (like a few other holes on the tubes and the like) so that isn't much of a factor in all of it. I think quite a few lurkers in this forum will gladly disagree with you regarding their qualifications, as we have seen in the past week if nothing else
I wouldn't be surprised if this issue has to be dealt with by the engineering department, but originates as a request somewhere else within a company.

4/13/2022 9:53am RS gets my vote for ease of home service/videos/step by steps and they have been completely reliable. Fox depending on the shock can require more specialized tools but no issue reliability for me.

4/12/2022 11:48am Oooooooh, aimed at the OE market. That would explain some logic behind the mineral oil. I think I've heard mineral oil is prefered by the assemblers because it's less messy. Personally I hope Sram doesn't move away from DOT brakes. With all the 'benefits' mineral oil gives it's a real shitstorm as every manufacturer uses their own special formulation, that is not compatible with the other manufacturers, there have been cases of seal damage by mixing manufacturers apparently, etc. DOT is simple, there's a standard, you can mix them to your heart's content, even 5.1 with 4 and 3, you...
