5/9/2021 5:14am I understand the Catch-22 aspect of this, but I'm not currently convinced the shortage extends past the front line - i.e. buyers like you, online retailers, and brick and mortar shops. I am suspicious that there's blood in the water and EVERY shark has shown up. So let's say that distributor X gets 500 GX chains. The current distributor practices doesn't allow for reserving product (even for a week) so shops immediately snap up the chains before they disappear. Now with UPS and FedEx having a field day, shops do everything they can to hit the free ship targets, so...

10/19/2020 12:07pm I think one way to solve it would be running it like an outdoor MX national in the US. A single qualifying event followed by two points paying races in the same weekend. Qualifying Friday, race 1 Saturday, race 2 Sunday then an overall weekend winner. Points get earned for each race plus bonus point for overall weekend ranking so individual performance and consistency are rewarded. If they changed the courses slightly between day 1 and day 2 we would also see different skill sets since riders that don't need to know every inch of a track to go fast...

10/19/2020 5:31am It’s simple and obvious. Should have been a DQ props to Bernard for speaking publicly what most of the other TM’s agreed on privately too (within official protest period too) On the flip side of this great to see Angel riding so well and making such a good comeback.

10/18/2020 7:41pm I’ll jump in to get to page 4. I’ve always interpreted it as you can’t touch the outside of the base of the poles. So like in the lenzerheide cathrovision I think riders could bunny hop fully inside the pole if they clear it. I think a “line” is drawn from one pole to the next and if you cross the line, you must cross back over before the next pole. I agree it sucks for angel, but I don’t see how they don’t dq him after so many other racers have had very similar things happen.

10/18/2020 7:11am I use the feet or foot rule ( in this case tires). Most sports as long as your feet are touching inside the boundary line you are good to go. This means that your body parts can be outside that line but do not touch ground. In MTB the rule should read Tires (like feet) NEED to be inside line...

10/17/2020 10:58am to say "no advantage gained" is so subjective and shouldn't be part of the discussion. angel was 10th, dak norton 11th. their time diff was .11 seconds. if angel stayed on a line that kept him in the course (possibly meaning more direction change or hitting bigger bumps), he could have lost that .11 and may have given up a spot and points. his line almost looks straighter than it normally would have been.

10/17/2020 10:55am Clearly outside the pole (course) and certainly Did Not return between same poles. Time to "man up" and call a DQ on himself.

10/16/2020 2:16pm Looks pretty clear to me - He went off the track. He did not re-enter between the same poles that mark the course because his wheels (at least the back wheel) went off before the pole he hit. Should technically be a DQ.

10/16/2020 2:05pm To me this is clear cut DQ. Spomer, I second or two before your screen grab you can see the top of the pool bend under the rear wheel and come out on the right side of his bike (i.e. rear tire was completely outside the pole). He also totally blows up the tape between the pole he hit and pole above it with the rear tire. That's OB. It's not like he hit the pole with his bars and the tape broke. It was the his rear wheel that's on the ground. I agree with others saying I don't...

10/16/2020 2:04pm Definitely a DQ if the UCI want to be consistent with their rulings, Bernard tried to argue this as he was DQ'd years ago for something similar, but the UCI Comm argues it wasn't intentional. Bernard gives his thoughts in my WynTV up later tonight.

10/16/2020 2:03pm do you guys not see his tires to the left side of the pole in that screen grab? riders can smash through the pole with body and bars all they want, but tires can't break around the point of where the pole is in the ground. angel's do. if that pole was shin-high there wouldn't be a debate, would there? if this was between poles and he brought tires back inside, no issue either, but he's outside the pole, on the pole. the other rule in play here is the protest time period, which is now over apparently. so that...

10/5/2020 6:44am They prove my point every time. SJW clown show over there at PB. They make Twitter censorship look downright reasonable. IMO best thing ever would be an EMP that kills the internet for a few years. Those retards would have to talk and exist in something other than a libtard echo chamber. That said 80% of this sport appears to be of the libtard persuasion, unfortunately. I am sure happy I didn't stay in the industry.

7/24/2020 8:49am It is a movement with a complete political agenda! And fine! It's great you choose to support it. However I use mountain biking as an escape from life. And I disagree that this is the place for it. Just saying leave it All out! All of it!
