I understand the Catch-22 aspect of this, but I'm not currently convinced the shortage extends past the front line - i.e. buyers like you, online retailers, and brick and mortar shops. So where is the holdup? Is it manufacturing or shipping? I've already heard of bikes inventory being flown rather than using ocean freight. I'm wondering if the lack of inventory will lead to an implosion rather than a boom, as the new riders discover (1) they can't fix what they've got and (2) partying at the clubs is way easier...
