I've got a real rumor, Kasper Woolley is running a non standard Suntour Voro Coil on his zerode. Noticed while scrolling through my photos from the open this weekend. Lots of fast people running the Suntour stuff.

Dude, dude, dude... hear me out: I agree that you'd ideally want to have cage spring forces that are lower in the big cogs for easier shifts while climbing and higher cage spring forces in the smaller cogs for greater chain retention and chain calming during descents, and yes the current arrangement on the new dual-spring Shimano RD's is kind of the opposite of that. You know what could be done by Shimano to reverse the derailleur cage spring force problem? You know what they could do? You know what? RAPID RISE IS BACK BABY!!!!! LOW NORMAL THIS IS YOUR...

The media misreported; there was a final meeting yesterday where the law firm handling the bankruptcy case for RAD, the prior owner of Rocky Mountain, announced that there were no more funds to be allocated for unsecured creditors. I assume the file is now closed. Rocky Mountain Bicycles, under the recent Chaos Sports acquisition, is alive and well.

Is WR1 still made in Canada? I recently got a new rim that replaces "made in Canada" with "North American made". Stoked on the actual rim and warranty,but I'd hate to see it move production down to the reich

While I’m no 32er apologist. I’m old enough to remember this exact argument when 29ers came out. I was working at a shop in College when 29ers started to hit the market, people would come in and actually get pissed at us for having 29ers on the floor. Anyone remember anti-29er stickers on people’s cars? I can remember a few different stickers, one said “One less 29’er”. Horsting them will make them objectively better." there's is nothing objectively better about about a Horst link layout, all it does is provide a lower anti rise, which has its trade offs with geometry preservation. I sincerely hope that Kona doesn't go away from single pivots, because I like bikes with higher anti rise and the slight firming of the rear suspension does not bother me in the slightest, where bikes that pitch forwards under braking do. Honestly, Kona needs to trim skus down, they way too many budget and low end hardtail and those need to go. Getting...

If you're at all familiar with the evolution of the drone industry over the last decade, you might have made the observation that DJI was to the commercial drone industry what Amazon was to the bookstore industry 15 or 20 years earlier. If you don't have a problem with a single Chinese vendor taking over 90% of all e-bike options, then I guess we just keep doing what we're doing. They definitely make a good product, but how hard will they try when they've wiped everyone else out? Just one outsider's observation.
