7/16/2026 5:20am Based on all the problems Gates teams are going through to prevent that from happening in the mud (custom covers and similar, apparently not hard. Maybe an important thing to notr here. Belt tensioners in cars are pretty strong if I'm not mistaken. Gates belt drives were also primarily seen in hardtail applications where you tension it by moving the rear axle (or BB ) ala single speed chains without tensioners. If you have a full suspension bike with a changing chainstay length, you'll need a pulley that won't pull too hard to enable free suspension movement. Maybe that tension...

7/15/2026 12:21am I know I’m in the minority here but I’d take a slightly cheap feeling shifter that feels like a shifter over one that feels like adjusting the volume on a cheap bluetooth speaker any day.

7/14/2026 3:32pm It's a shame there is no way to adjust the height of your handlebars. If you bike's stack is 10mm lower than you'd like you just have to put up with it.It's really unfortunate.

7/2/2026 10:01am I'm completely against flipping start order for any petty overall series interest. Times are so stupidly tight now that 30th can win. It's a FALSE stacking of riders in hopes of building a fictitious momentum. The courses get better sometimes for the last few racers. Sometimes it gets worse for the last few racers. Fractions of seconds spaced out over a 1, 2, 3 hour time span in variable weather & lighting conditions. All splitting hairs in the final. The days of dictating a countdown to fastest run are over. Please stop trying to manufacture a good time I'm capable...

7/2/2026 10:00am I am really drawn to zero protection ( ! ) and I enjoy the long hotseat sessions (they’re rare) but I have to agree this idea got an audible “i don’t hate it” from me when I heard it. I don’t think the current setup is bad but I’m pretty into DH racing. If the word is it’d make for a more compelling story to more people I WILL ALLOW IT. Also: if you’re gonna be the guy who signs the decree banning jr women from hitting a jump, I’m gonna need to see footage of you jumping it.

7/1/2026 10:30am Much love! I'm just stoked to be part of a brand (Vital) that I grew up being such a fan of. We might be small, but I love what we stand for and everyone out there who connects with it.

6/30/2026 12:46am In my opinion, electronic lockouts are worthless. I don't think lockouts at all really matter for climbing efficiency. The #1 thing affecting efficiency is your tires. Next is your seated position (geometry). All other considerations are a distant 3rd. Others have mentioned it before, but call me when electronic suspension is used for something actually useful, like suspension setup or position sentitive damping.

6/22/2026 6:18am My point regarding antidote was more that they’re just not in a position to be chasing those fractions of a second yet. They need a reliable bike and rider that can challenge for top 10’s before they go chasing those fine margins.

6/18/2026 12:32pm Hey, let's stay on topic here. This is the UCI 32" rule debate thread. Seriously though, that aluminum hydroforming and construction work looks really clean. It's really hard to tell where the carbon models end and the aluminum ones begin in the website photos.

6/17/2026 3:36am Personally I find the “We’re the next Honda” narrative a bit tired when Frameworks have proven that you really don’t need to overcomplicate things to build a winning bike. Add to that the fact that teams like Antidote and Aon aren’t winning races or selling bikes you have to ask what’s the point?

6/11/2026 3:45pm Name a more annoying sound than an American complaining about ebikes. Honestly, we've all heard your opinions before. We know you have them. I don't really like or want an ebike either but there are 12,000,000 whingy comments online about how you're too pure or too dedicated or too fit or too angry at unskilled riders and you're mad about it. We don't need any more. Talk about the market or discontinuation of normal bikes, sure, but complaining about being passed on a climb track or peoples ass cracks is tiring af at this point. You've been yelling about it...
