9/19/2026 12:41pm I think Gwin and Minnaar are proof that no one is ‘untouchable’. I can think of a few riders like Tahnee and Miriam who are unlikely to move because the team is owned by their family, or riders like Reese Wilson and BK who are team owners but I think if the timing’s right everyone else is fair game.

This feels emblematic of WBD's failures to understand and effectively market the sport of mountain biking. More extensive live race coverage? Nah, let's create an awards show, because TV execs like awards shows. "The Golden Arrows," "The Summit," "The Globe"... gimme a break. I'm not opposed to WBD giving out some awards or recognition, but this all seems unnecessarily elaborate and self-congratulatory for an organization that just abandoned the elite tier of one of the sport's major disciplines.

I have been running a 32" front wheel on my epic all year. Started out with my normal 35mm stem and riser bars and I had a hard time keeping the front end under control. Tried out a drop stem and it brought my weight back forward and the front end was much better. Bike is very fun still and very fast. I personally think it still handles very well even in the tight stuff. Despite the wild looking stem it's comfortable and feels normal. Clutch on the Eagle 90 has me intrigued plus the UDH. Traditional hangers bend so easily. Thanks for the tip. My two cents. Marginal gains are for professionals. Mere mortals benefit from gym, good diet, sleep, and riding your bike more not drivetrains that have batteries and cost a month of rent.
