As you’ve stated, it’s somewhat of an unanswerable question, because I think it’s a bit of a “which came first” question. The rider has to be comfortable on a bike to go fast, but does that comfort come from adaptation/learned habits or some specific characteristics that a certain bike has? I think most riders are chasing predictability, but how does something become predictable? You have to experience it and adapt, but to experience and adapt, you first have to ride a bike with a certain set of characteristics. I think it’s why we often see riders struggle the first year...

So excited to be supporting the team this year. The Rim Strip was developed for racing, and has continued to prove its worth on the circuit. Asa actually broke a rim at Nationals last year during qualifying, but the tire held air, so he didn’t notice. He qualified first, then raced on the rim to a win the next day. SO GOOD! Congrats on the new sponsors, bringing on Angel and Martin, and thanks for going so in depth on my questions at the end. Super interesting stuff from start to finish. Loved the part in the middle about "Why aren't other brands as transparent as Frameworks?" Transparency absolutely builds trust, and trust is rare and precious these days. Appreciate everything you're doing.

Angel Suarez has fantastic technique and can hold some pretty insane pace. I think he's been on some higher-profile teams because people who know bike racing can see that this guy has potential. That said, his career in the elite field is entering its 10th season, and it hasn't been a smooth decade. Out of 59 Elite World Cup / World Champ registrations he has missed 19 to DNS/F/Q. First top-ten in his 4th season, and his first podium in his 8th season. Good riders to compare him to would be Mark Wallace and Benoit Coulanges, who each entered Elite...

The other site posted that OR was expanding into the mtb world back in July, but I think this is the first I've heard of them signing anyone. OR was also the title sponsor for Speed and Style at Crankworx in Whis.

they haven't kept the V-10 exclusive to the Syndicate in recent years. The Pinkbike team rode them last year...and they have a whole roster of "Free Agents" that they sponsor

They're also selling their current full-suspension inventory on a BOGO deal to try to generate cash flow, allegedly because they can't afford the payments necessary to get their new models released from the manufacturer. They don't sponsor any race teams any more, and they don't make a dedicated downhill bike. They're in no position to sponsor Gwin.
