When you buy one of these from Ohlins does it come with a bike/ rider specific damping tune or is it just "trail" or "downhill" based on the size? Given the limited adjustment range it is hard to imagine that those two tunes would be enough to cover all different suspension kinematics and rider speeds and weights.

12/22/2022 9:21am The Float X2 version of the Commnecal Supreme DH V5 Signature appears to come spec'd with some "First Ride" Schwalbes. Probably the new dry terrain tire that's been seen on some WC bikes? Hard to say from the side profile image. Availability isn't until May 2023 so maybe the tires will be officially released by the time these bikes are...

Did anyone see Forbidden's sale on Druids? Looks like they're priced at dealer cost, or close to it, across the board. This says to me that there's a new frame coming. Any rumours out there?

Shakedown day could be a chance for me to get some of the extra content that you guys would like. The interviews on race day would be sweet but I don't want to impose on the guys if they aren't comfortable having that kind of stuff published. I feel like them talking to me is a bit more personal than talking to the media guys. And honestly, Jack gets some really good footage of that stuff...

Okay, lets keep playing "finance class with Jeff" since people seem interested. I've already articulated this, but maybe a real world example of how it works will help ? Like most people, I plan on holding the car for 2-4 years (or keeping it for like...20, more on that later). If I sell the car at year 2, here is the math. After two years I will have paid $19,000 in principal and $2500 in interest. The million dollar question (or $54,000 question) is how much will the car be worth in 2 years? Considering supply constraints of rare earths...

I'm guessing he means concentric around the axle, like trek and some others do. And yes mandingo, alloy bikes can have flex stays. Many bikes have had in the past, but a lot of them were not implemented very well, lots of complaints about being too flexy side to side and high breakage rates. Is it's possible to implement al flex stays well? idk. It's telling that Specialized stumpy al version uses horst and carbon version uses flex.
