Jason, I do have to argue a point that came up on the B Practice podcast.. The current race format definitely creates good stories.. Last years champion struggles to qualify, a guy wins one week, DNQ the next.. The names that didn't make the show... Dak overcomes early season issues to a 5th place qualifying run... And those are all before the finals start.. Maybe those stories are not being told in a proper way.. If at all? DH qualifying is about as predictable as the 250 class right now..

Great to have some media that focuses more on how a rider wants to ride and how it fits as a tool to fulfill those goals.

Great feature Jason. Along with a lot of other ebike riders I didn't really see the point of having an ebike with less than 160mm of travel. But with this latest batch of bikes, and especially some of the weights that are being reached, I now see a reason to have a short travel ebike on top of a super enduro version.

We did a comparison test between Specialized's Levo 4 and Levo R to see what separates each bike. And selfishly, I wasn't really sold on the Levo R and wanted to see if Specialized was just blowing smoke or if it served a purpose. TLDR - both bikes ride really well. The Levo R could be made into a sick...
The edges are rounded on both sides. Stamping/shearing does not normally produce that result.

Another great podcast. Anyone else here happy about J. Schroeder's increased prominence at Vital? It's nice to think that Spomer has some good support from a smart, conscientious second. Just wanted to give that guy (Schroeder) some props. As they say in Tennessee: " 'preciate you". Thanks all, for feeding the MTB content beast.

I actually signed up to Vital just to say: I love the podcast. Specifically the unaffiliated recent stuff, but I'm having a great time going back and listening to everything older. It's an added benefit to be in Washington and have the regionality be relatable, having been to some of the same places and events, and worked with some of the same people. Keep up the good work!

I’d love to learn from the group on Genie setup and what people are actually running. For context, I’m on a 2024 SJ15 (non-EVO), ~200 lbs geared, and this is my only bike. I’d say I’m a solid intermediate rider, but not someone who’s super sensitive to suspension changes—I tend to adapt pretty quickly rather than clearly prefer one setup over another. I ride a bit of everything here in Northern California, but I definitely not sending it. So far: Only tried the medium headset cup I like both high and low chainstay settings for different reasons On the shock...
