Get a full weekend pass, saves money and it's also less of a hassle. I would advise to watch World Champs even if it's a bit more crowded. IMHO, the bigger the crowd, the better the atmosphere! 
I also think you should go to Les Gets just because I don't think anyone will be able to challenge Amaury or Camille for the overall this year by the time VdS comes, so I think riders will likely go balls out at Les Gets compared to Val di Sole. And it is World Champs after all, riders do crazy things just...
