I saw Loris Vergier a few years ago filming a promo for a trail bike in Roubion bike park, he kept complaining that "the bike feels like shit"

9/3/2023 11:41am I dont know, that video of Cathro where no one made it through without crashing in training was kinda brutal. Even today it felt like the elites had way higher crash rate than usual, ok most of them were slide outs but still. Daprela is lucky to be alive.

I have 2 very different sections of track, both of which will make my 223 galfer rotors completely fail and turn into Pringles in 30s from cold... Ridiculous. Also codes which might be the issue.

Just keeps your legs from getting cut up by thorns. A big factor I would say is ebikes allow you to wear lighter pants all summer without too much of a heat penalty. About 2-3 years I went from shorts+pads every ride to pants and no pads every ride. Pants are so comfy nowdays and I feel much more protected for my trail network which is massive, but poorly maintained.

Ok, I agree on the motor, I originally thought this was only a refinement of their older motor, but they claim it is 100% new so my bad on that. Regarding batteries those are literally just big AA batteries, there are varying qualities but spécialisés isn't using anything special. For the other comment above, I guess it depends on your riding and ebike, but I ride my 25kg ebike exactly the same way as my 16kg bike. Same trails, popping off the same rocks, doubling the same features etc just braking needs to be a touch earlier. Just need the...

I'm of the same opinion as you, but another issue. These bikes have weaker motors and less battery cells than regular ebikes, they must objectively be cheaper to make, so why do they end up costing more than the full fat ones? Brands keep positioning these as halo products when they are the most compromised category. Do you want a bike you can pedal all day, an ebike you can ride all morning until your arms fall off, or an SL that might run out of juice on a lunch ride? All that said, beautiful bike.

4/13/2023 12:27am Just to add my 2 cents: I agree in general about DT swiss rims (specifically the EX series), spokes and hubs being good. But ironically, I rate DT swiss built wheels pretty low, their insistence on using 28 straight pull spokes is ridiculous, I am constantly tensioning my wheels and losing spokes on the rear.
