8/20/2024 9:34am Only thing I read was the price and that (awesome) comparison table. I know my next comparison is dumb, but I bought a sick pumptrack bike delivered for a lot less than this seatpost... More on point: I feel like oneup is still way ahead of the game here. I have a slightly wobbly 180 v2 on my current bike and will 100% replace whatever comes on my next bike with a 210mm v3.

8/16/2024 5:39am My first bike was a Giant reign, broke the lower link that goes between the BB area to the chainstay. They claimed that wasn't the frame so not covered under warranty, still bitter 14 years later. Next warranty was YT who were awesome, I had a bearing issue on a mk1 jeffsy, sent the frame back they replaced the front...

8/16/2024 3:57am My most recent was on a Santa Cruz frame and Willy did right by me. My first ever was on a set of OG Race Face cranks. They were the supposedly "Forged." ones. After two sets cracked within the first month I said send me anything else. I got a BB and a t-shirt. The BB exploded on the first ride and I have never bought another Race Face product. I gave the shirt away.

Eoin Added a comment about feature Can a Pedal Kickback Denier See the Light?
8/15/2024 11:18am Excellent test and writeup! Personally would love to see the low vs medium vs high engagement hub test, a suspension tuner has been telling all his DH customers to go as low as possible. I also wonder how much of this contributes to ebikes feeling so much plusher, thanks to the extra pawls at the BB area.

8/14/2024 11:26pm I would add that part of this is also that the major evolution in the last 2-3 years have been in ebikes, which this forum is relatively hostile towards. Generalization and hyperbole incoming: take a 2021 ebike and compare it to it's 2024/5 variant, it will look better, have better geo, better integration, more range, more power, lighter... Take a...

8/12/2024 11:50pm If you are willing to give up some grip for rolling speed, I was positively surprised by the Vittoria Martello out back, it comes in pretty strong casings too and dirt cheap online. I'm interested in the new schwalbe Albert gravity as it seems like a good rear tyre option. The Hans dampf knobs are too small, the big Betty...

8/12/2024 1:43pm Is anybody else dying for an xc style tread with a double down level casing or is that too niche? I have one bike with two wheel sets, one for bike park and rough trails and one for long days on the bike, but where I live in AZ the trails are really rough but rolling speed is crucial to survive being out there for 40-60 mile rides. So I'd love a fast rolling xc tire that is extra dependable in the back country. Like a Rekon Double Down or something.

7/31/2024 10:59am Like you said, 2-3 week gaps is good, but seems weird to stop in the summer, I guess the race shuts down most of a resort for a weekend which is the issue?
Eoin Added a reply to E-bike talk: not tech rumor derailment
7/16/2024 3:06pm Similar story for me, my 2018 commencal weighed 23kgs in DH mode, my current Giant reign with 800wh weighs 26kg. To be honest, as much as I would like a lighter bike, it rides very similarly to lighter bikes, it's all about that unsprung weight! Hence why I would love to test a Pinion MGU bike.

7/14/2024 11:21am Just wanted to add a few anecdotes from my side that might help with others. This is my first concussion in 15 years of riding and racing. Had a very unlucky fall about 3 months ago, pedal hit something, I went otb, didn't smash the ground that hard but my 26kg bike smashed into the back of my helmet, breaking...

7/12/2024 1:05am With the Heckler SL and Decoy SN get your super rowdy enduro rig, but only for 3 to 4 top to bottom descents before you have to stop and charge. Maybe I'm in the minority (I would think not on this forum lol) but an eeb doesn't increase the mileage I can do, it just shortens the time it takes to do said mileage. 430wh is simply not large enough for the length of rides I want to do where a motor is assisting me. (never touch boost) The added weight for removable batteries has been grossly over exaggerated by...

7/7/2024 3:25am Damn looking at the top teams and ideal best team, looks like on rainy races you should just buy all the cheap guys and not risk any budget on riders over 100k! One suggestion for next year, is keep the same fantasy structure, just make wildcards more expensive to incite us to "bet" a little more on podium contenders and...
