Yeah it's a Dissent but with all his regular parts on it, so he's basically just done a frame swap. Not sure if it's because he's signed for Nukeproof, or just testing out the Dissent though, as he could be shopping around for a sponsor or as a privateer wanting to simply buy a frame. I wouldn't be surprised if he got it via Adam Brayton too given that they are good mates and probably ride the same size frame

I think he just no longer has a sponsorship deal. So he got a stock Mondraker before his deal was up and is riding it. While sponsored he would swap out forks and suspension, now he’s just riding what he’s got.

So who was Jeff building frames for in that post? And why was MS rider Trummer on an M1? Do we need more clues at this point? Not saying Dak is on it (hoping he is), but MS Intense seems pretty obvious at this point.

I couldn’t see FMD leaving Canyon, either. Between all the rumbles about MS Intense and Intense stating they’re going to support a more youthful, US based team, add to that Jeff blatantly posting they’re sponsoring two teams, I highly doubt it. With Tanhee being a top 5 racer and Instagram posi-talk role model, I think she would be considered good ROI on Canyon’s part.

Bikes are not just their suspension layout. They are a sum of all their parts. I believe that the new optic and sight are going to be really good bikes.

My druid carried me to a couple top 10s at the Canadian Enduro in my age category, a bunch of bike park time and roughly 1500kms of regular MTB trails in 2023. M y typical riding is everything from single track blue trails with twisty fast corners, steep as shit loam trails, DH tracks and all things in between. It is sad, but the reality is bike purchases are heavily driven by aesthetics. In some ways you want to respect companies that cling to their image but is it really worth doing so at the expense of failing? Ibis adapted by getting rid of the swoopy top tube. But Intense is another example of a company that refuses to get rid of questionable branding and may go the way of the dodo if they don't adapt. Need to take ques from the brands gaining marketshare... i.e. WAO & Forbidden, clean lines & minimal branding. Bikes need to look sexy...
