I do usually drop 2-3 psi. I did in this case I did the same, but I was still getting rim strikes so I had to go back to 26psi in back (on my ebike in this case). Even with the reduced pressure that I ran briefly, I noticed that there was still more perceived harshness with the inserts then...

I don't know with yeti in particular... but from a friend with industry knowledge that I spend a bunch of time with. He theorizes that many of the DH bikes that are carbon, yet not being brought to market, are being made on CNC'd aluminum prototype moulds. These are fine for limited production where you're doing hand QA/QC for each...

Question for everyone here regarding thicker tire casings and tire inserts. Recently, I noticed that maxxis double down casing tires seemed to get a smidge 'harsher' when running inserts then without. I was getting some rock/rim strikes with a DD 27.5x2.5 dhr2 at 26-27 psi, and in lieu of bumping up tire pressure further, I decided to throw a tannus...

I'm getting the new VTX in for testing shortly on my Megatower. Currently on the Vorsprung Telum. Excited to compare both against my stock SDLX Ultimate with HBO, which is a great shock in its own right.

Maybe unpopular opinion, but I feel like Mammoth Mountain would be a good venue and they could put together a pretty gnarly run from top to bottom with a good mix. Agreed on Angel Fire as stated above.

On site we got no live stream of Q2 unlike the past two races, just one shot of the finish jump so maybe sadly it won't be put out this week. Be nice if we knew though.

I'll fly the pro USD flag, although I'm very biased... I think you're slightly underestimating the nuance between an amazing fork and a crap fork. At this point you might have rode two forks of the same manufacturer and model but yet they feel vastly different. To me, that's down to fork manufacturing being on the knifes edge of production manufacturing tolerances. For example, 4-6lbs of extra seal drag is garbage, .25deg misalignment of tubes is total garbage, and if a 14" long stanchion deviates more than .0004" (human hair is ~.002") - steaming hot garbage. You might say those...

Cathro just posted a video on the other side regarding electronic lockouts. One thing I've been considering for a while now, is what is legal with regards to electronic suspension and pre-programming various settings for position on track. From a simplicity perspective, GPS would be the most ideal way to do that, but the nature of mtb trails with trees/cloud...

Everyone knows the only way to get your bars and levers juuuust right is to adjust them with a rusty multi-tool in the trailhead parking lot while your buddies are waiting on you to start the ride. The more exasperated your friends are, the more precise the alignment.

Can I patent the ole one eye squint? For real tho, equalizing the gap on each side between the sanctions and bars is way easier than aligning the stem with the tire.

i added to my post above with more clarification, FYI. IMO it doesn't come down to shimano (or any brand launching a product) being the problem in this case. they have a launch coming up (they said, june 5). they have to get their product and info in the right places before the launch. it's a kook or two at these places (OE, shops, brands, media, who knows) who are posting things they don't have a right to post. if shimano asks vital to remove stuff but not other outlets, it must mean our viewers are actually important 🤣

I am a member of the alfa anonymous club as well. I had a 75 (milano in the states) verde that I absolutely adored, despite it ruining my life on many occasions. When it was working right, it was the best car experience possible... but those days were few and far between. There is a certain irony of such a reliable and function over form bike, being transformed into a form/meets function bike with an homage to a form over function car livery. I must admit, I lamented when the new 141/161 came out and they had the hump in...
