Öhlins have changed their logo, from the signature and legendary Ö, to a new logo. Lacks all character and prestige that the old logo spent years to achieve. https://www.ohlins.com/about-us/news/new-visual-identity

If only they did all this before 4 sick free bike parks opened on the south coast. Also you don't get charged $18 for a beer and get no change from a pineapple for a schnitzel. I'd rather do a week of riding Kembla, Nowra, Narooma & Mogo now.

The dimensions aren’t well drawn to be honest. What I did there is a graphical approximation of leverage ratio by the way. If you dimension the shock ever so slightly shorter (in this case 0.01 mm) and then look at the vertical displacement of the rear axle and divide that number by the difference in shock length it gives you appropriate leverage ratio. As the difference in shock length approaches zero, the approximate leverage ratio approaches the actual leverage ratio.

Hi all, I'm the 'Gosling' being referenced in the Bikeradar article. I had meetings in Les gets with five teams, YT being one and I'll start by saying that Gunnar Franke (Team Manager) is one of the best guys in the pits running a great team with awesome riders and staff. However we (Nukeproof) don't have the budget to go from 'no team' to one of the best, and highest budget teams in the pits when today we are not even selling any bikes. I also feel that we are not the type of brand that wants or needs one...

Respectfully, it's more accurate to say " Pro tip, your super enduro will absolutely be acceptable for DH trails." No matter how good long travel single crown bikes are these days, there's still no replacement for displacement.

Yeah I think it is a selling point that nobody ever really uses. I don't think more than a handfull of people across the world will be converting their rallon from enduro rig to a DH rig for a park weekend on an even semi-regular basis. Are people really going to get the different links, shock, fork, and maybe wheels/tires just for a couple of park weekends a year? And if you're actually going to a park more often I'd say its easier to just own a decent DH bike. IDK man. I'd say it's a way bigger win for...

I designed that out of Super Deluxe Coil- we measured 'solid' height of bumpers (I think at our test lab max of 5,000 lbf) and designed stroke length around that. So a RS SDLXC 65 stroke should actually get close to 65mm stroke if you smash it hard enough. Remove the bumper and measure the shaft- should be maybe 1-2mm longer than the stroke length. Edit- also agree with Darren about data... I'd probably do the test blind and look at data after ranking everything. Then maybe see if you can make improvements based on data comparison?

The reason for including the SD shock is simply because it is also tuned for the Enduro. I know the product managers at Specialized can ride, and the SD shock represents the tune (for that specific shock) they felt worked the best for the frame. I am curious to see how it compares to the other shocks, which are also tuned specifically for the frame. This is a "coil shock shootout", but also a big exercise in data collection with the end goal being to try and understand why one shock is faster (or better) than another for a specific...
