You guys need to get some taller testers :-) Short head tubes/low stack height are the bane of my life - the banshee sounds perfect for 6' and over riders who would otherwise be battling with too low bar height...

Like it or not, humans require rules to regulate a level playing field. From AYSO soccer to high school basketball, to amateur enduro racing. Like I said, I paid $85 per entry to be a part of a fair competition. Fortunately my competitors all practised and raced on the same bikes. As a result I felt like I was part of a level competition. Unfortunately for my 13 year old son I can't same the same...

Ball bearings have various level of stiffnesses which are very non-linear. The tilt direction is especially not stiff for a non-angular single row ball bearing. Depending on clearances, frame tolerances, etc, I wouldn't be surprised if a trunnion mount has more give than a DU bushing. Let alone that the other end of the shock is still on bushings. My only gripe with trunnion is single shear vs double shear on the hardware, but the larger diameter makes up for it. I never had or heard of problems with trunnion shocks. Anyone here had issues?

This past weekend my son and I raced a local enduro with some big miles and stages with a decent amount of pedalling. In the pro category I raced 22 miles with about 4500ft of vertical. So between the 2 days (training and racing) it was a big weekend. I don't really race that much anymore but this one race I like because of how big it is. In my opinion its what enduro should be. Big days, self reliant with a good mix of tech, fast, pedalling and a huge dose of ENDURance. However this year I noticed a...

The first shinguards that do not suck. (aka best of all worlds) https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ninjaskin/shinguards I know, it is a big claim. But hear me out. Why does no one wear shinguards? 1. Combined knee shin guards - big, bulky, sweaty, slide around or do not protect the whole shin, only used in bikeparks 2. Big BMX and MTB shin guards - big, hot and uncomfortable and sliding in all directions. 3. Light MTB shin guards -don´t cover the hole shin skin or a foam insert against light impacts 4. Shinguards from football/ soccer and other sports - either much to short...

Any one have an idea of when rockshox will be releasing this new suspension to the public? Eager to get my hands on one of these new shocks!

I've been thinking about this a lot too! The other day it occurred to me that how easily the bike tips from side to side might not actually depend at all on the position of the bottom bracket relative to the axle height because the bike is rotating about the tire/ground axis when it goes side to side. Thoughts on...
