https://www.sram.com/globalassets/document-hierarchy/service-manuals/ro… The new Zeb air piston is a spit for Vorsprung's Luftkappe. New pistons for the Lyrik and Pike too. Edit, nope just realised the air shaft is threaded internally on these vs externally on the previous/current gen air springs -Looks like the buttercups are a similar size to the C1 footnut so highly likely they'll be retrofittable to C1 air springs-

Thanks for including suspension settings for all testers. This is a useful data point for those setting up these bikes after buying them.

You can also tap in a PF bb with a rubber mallet. I’ve done it many times. No special tools needed. I have no issue with it.

Right? 3 races in one week with 350+ people within 4 hours of each other and I've seen nothing on PB about the Canadian races, but every other country's champs and race reports is kind of bullshit. That being said, I was there and it was awesome to watch. Miranda vs Casey vs Vera and how stoked they all were at the bottom, some drama with Mark Wallace needing a re-run while Finn sat at the bottom for what seemed like forever, Rheeder being an absolute pinner with the best style, and watching Groms and Jr's nearing landing on each...

Nice work Vital. I'm glad at least one MTB website is interested in covering the Canadian DH scene.

I don’t think it will change the way I ride, but it will change the way I maintain my bike. For example, my DUB bb bearing seized yesterday and new ones are locally in short supply. I managed to service the bearing to get it spinning again and will work on sourcing a new bb. But while in the past...
Been riding nothing but the Specialized 2FO clip lite since 2013. In fact, when my 1st pair bit the dust I bought 2 replacement pairs just in case they discontinue the shoe.

D(C) Added a comment about feature The Complete Guide to Specialized Mountain Bike Tires

4/6/2021 9:41pm
With prices on these creeping up to Maxxis territory, it will be hard not to compare their performance against the best. Specialized tires used to be a good budget product, but those days are behind us. Of course, with the anticipated supply issues, Specialized can sell tires based on availability rather than price.

D(C) Added a reply to X01 eagle vs. GX eagle

I had an X01 Eagle derailleur last me 2 years without issue. In contrast, I went through a GX Eagle derailleur in 6 months before it developed play and lost shift quality. The X01 Eagle chain also last far longer than GX. The GX Eagle cassette, cranks and shifter seemed solid to me. What issues were you having with those?
finally a coil vs air that isn't just "ItS pLuShEr"

I guess different reviewers rode the 2019 and 2021 versions, but it would be interesting to know how they compare, especially in terms of rear suspension feel.

Yeah, I know a few people (myself included) who have torn EXO+ DHR II, and there are reports of EXO holding up better than EXO+ due to using 60 TPI instead of 120 tpi. Going back to Michelin, I think they nailed the casing on the Wild Enduro Rear for all-round riding - I ran it all last summer and...

A couple points on Maxxis: - There are lighter MaxxGrip options available now: Assegai EXO+, DHF EXO, DHR II EXO - Maxxis DD and DH tires are folding bead and a good 100-150 g lighter than the Michelins and others. They are similar in weight to heavy duty trail/enduro tires from other brands. - DD and DH Maxxis tires are...
