This is really disappointing: I refuse to spend less than $15k on a moped, particularly if it does less than 99% of the pedaling for me.

It's not fun like mountain biking, because it is not mountain biking, full stop. The industry is so desperate to sell motorized vehicles to everyone, that they've created astroturf-roots organizations like People for Bikes to fabricate a seductive narrative of self-deception that motorized sport has magically become the same thing, and thus belongs on the same trails as human-powered sport. It is not, and it does not: OHV parks exist for a reason and eMopeds should never have left them.

More pregnant bikes, more big motor, more big battery and more staggered wheels...kickstand??! I was really hoping ebikes were going towards SL version, like the rise or Levo SL. But now they are really an hybrid between a Moto and an bike. Different sport all together in my opinion.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to chat Spomer. I’m so sorry for all you have gone through as well and I appreciate you being willing to share. I hope that people are able to come away from this with the understanding that we are all in the midst of such a complex situation and at the end of the day we should try to treat each other with compassion and understanding. Many of us have different life, political, and religious beliefs and that’s one of the things that makes the world so special. As long as we are able...

RIP Transition. Another formerly cool brand goes casual and succumbs to the E-Bike fallacy. And according to the review, the bike is not even that good. Also: What the fuck are those prices.

Well, as a "diehard" Transition fan, looks like I'll be on to new brands in the near future. Super bummed as I know many of the Transition crew. Didn't think this would happen, at least so soon. Also, from my experience in the environmental science world, MOST trails that are hard to get to on federal land are NON Motorized, which includes E-bikes. So, out to ride moto trails then? Lame. Many of my buddies are riding steel full squish brands built here in the US. I know where I will be looking to buy when it's time for another...
