" Wait what, maybe the language used is wrong, but more progressive bikes would likely need more than (over) 30% sag, while linear bikes can be run well under/less than 30% sag. As others have said, I roughly check the sag on my first setup to know the rough number of psi I need, then it's all about feel. My last 2 bikes have been a battle to setup due to overly low BB height.

Of course this is a completely over the top product for deep-pocketed enthusiasts only, nobody claims any different. It's way better looking than the Trust though, which was said to have some quirks in the way it worked as well.

Great question. This might be the best thread on Vital. I have so many to share, but a great one is showing up to a shuttle day with all my riding gear, a change of clothes, lunch, electrolyte drink mix, etc, but I forgot my bike. For everyone else that meant they got a designated full-time shuttle driver that day.

Every time I get to borrow one and ride it I am simultaneously reminded that being able to dart uphill as fast as you can is absolutely not normal mtb activity. UDH isn’t proprietary. SRAM doesn’t charge bike manufacturers to use it. Personally I think the UDH is a good thing AND I think the SRAM direct mount derailleur is a bad idea.
