it's so fascinating that just tenths and even hundredths are determining so many places now. richie missing the show by .156, jewett even closer, just .039 off of qualifying. top 5 elite women w/in .360 of a second. if they crossed the line at 25mph, that's 36 feet to cram in 5 riders. it's mind boggling. and on a track like MSA where it seems like so much could go wrong (or right). 5 billion rocks to hang up on and slow a rider down, but they're all SO close. tomorrow will be a great show!

A few notes on the Men's US Open seeding runs: Troy Brosnan had the fastest time through the first 3 (of 5) sectors, up more than a second over Asa. He also had the fastest 1st split time. Lenzerheide coming up this week. Last European stop before they head to North America to close out the season. The top 2 spots in both the men's and women's Elite standings are pretty close, with less than 75 points separating 1st and 2nd in each. Goldstone: He's having an epic year, obviously. He won Lenzerheide twice as a Junior and finished 6th in his only race there as an Elite. Bruni: Has 1 win at this track (2018), with 5 podiums in 7 races there. I find it hard to root against Jackson for a bunch of reasons: 1. He's obviously a generational talent on a bike. 2. He looks like he has fun every time he gets on the bike, whether it's practice, in a race or at the local dirt jumps. 3. (Maybe the most important to me) He seems to be stoked for everyone. He placed 16th in Les Gets and is reposting Ronan's winning run. He's almost always at the finish line, waiting to congratulate his competitors. He might be one of best riders on a bike, but he hypes up...
