Nice read, and I think in the future you'll be able to extrapolate this theory out even further with the hollowing out of the middle class. PS, fuck Marc Andressen. He is a parasite who is part of the intentional collapse of America in an attempt to move toward corporate fiefdoms AKA "Network States". Marc quotes Nick Land in his...

I'm definitely interested. I'm not an early adopter though. I'll let the industry shake it out and bring the price down while I enjoy the bikes I have. Going from 26" to 27.5+/29" was an absolute revelation for me. Instantly conquering features i never had before. I could definitely see the potential for 32 front and rear. But like Jeff...

I'm 6'7", and I'm so excited by the potential. All I'd say is that if you aren't interested in these wheels, don't use them. But please don't ruin it for me. It's ok if not every product is for you... lord knows 99% of bikes don't fit me, and I still enjoy learning about them.

It seems that whether we like it or not, 32-inch wheels and mountain bikes are going to be a thing. That thing may not permeate too deeply into all riding categories, but multiple sources from a variety of different brands have recently confirmed bigger wheels, both front AND rear, are in mountain biking's future. As a result, here's a dedicated thread to the new wagon wheels. Intel is that the larger wheels will be for mostly XC (no idea how the UCI wheel size limitation will work out), but 32-inch wheels on trail bikes are also likely. Again, it's not...

I agree, incentive is limited. I'm actually a sucker for rad paint jobs, and nobody is doing anything remotely cool these days on that front. Where the hell are the fades, splatters, metallics, neon colors, etc. No originality at all. Please drop some acid and get back to me.

I liked the general analogy of 'palate fatigue' with your BMX monster. It touches on a point that I thought was oddly relevant. I forget who said it, sadly. But they basically said, the MTB industry isn't sure where to go in terms of innovation and current customers have just about NO reason to upgrade. (The only sector that can kick this trend being e-bikes, which is a good helpful thing but in terms of cost still niche in the broader bike market I suppose.) But within the context of like 1x drivetrains, dropper posts, switching to 29er and now...

"Titanium hardware"? That's a super random detail. The 2018 Intense Primer 2019 was my first carbon full sus bike, never had a single issue with it. I'm still using the free carbon wheels that came with it in the promotion, and the sweet torque wrench kit they included. Would definitely buy again, but I'm more interested in the new Spider right now.

I've been smashing some new wheels coming out of Australia: https://ride-wingman.com/ The alloy rim is super tough and has held up better than the DT, Reserve Alloy and Stans I ran previously, plus it comes in silver
