chrisjohnson22 Added a reply to I don't like the direction of modern trail building
11/16/2020 7:47am I couldn't agree anymore. I currently live down in SoCal and have spent a good two months up the PNW over the years and can say that everything you guys have going on for you up there is about ten times as good as what we have in CA. Not saying our trails completely blow, but the organizations and community...

10/30/2020 12:01pm The good news is the trash bags still exist and you can continue to wear them to prove a point. For riders who dont mind the money, they will have a resuable jacker likely for multiple seasons.

10/19/2020 7:54pm Damn ppl are angry against something they don't even have to buy. If you want to wrap your frame, GO WITH RideWrap. Nothing to say except exceptional quality ! I used an Invisiframe kit too, the coverage is not as elaborate and you don't have as many thing into the kit. Happy to see that now RW even offers shampoo in the kit! Don't have to buy the JnJ baby shampoo that you won't really use. Keep up the good work, I'll keep wrapping my frames

10/19/2020 7:52pm @chasejj : I don’t ride carbon fiber and thinking about resale isn’t dumb, it’s good forward thinking but from the sounds of it you probably think Roth’s and 401k’s are dumb too huh? I’m guessing your money is buried in the backyard in a coffee can somewhere

9/23/2020 8:23pm I remember taking Brandon straight to one of the steepest DH trails in town with a really intimidating drop in for his day of testing the original Sentinel and SBG Patrol. Brand new bikes never ridden... He cruised down the road a hundred feet to try and bed the brake pads in. After that... game on! Pretty rad to be able to take a "media guy" on that kind lap over and over. Such a fun day riding and testing.

9/3/2020 9:20pm I will have to look into those. I go through two alloy hoops a year, but always been able to finish a ride no matter what. Hard to do that with most carbon hoops. Looking to try Cush core next with my stans

9/3/2020 11:58am Great review and bike. I will never understand the demand and hype behind carbon rims. Yes I am sure some are better than others, but the amount of cracked rims I have seen the field from just about every brand is insane.

8/12/2020 8:52pm I think saint drivetrain with 11-36 cassette would have been a perfect match. You can still get away doing most hour or so trail rides with that gearing. Ya it’s not ideal but better off than the dh group here

7/30/2020 6:42am Been splitting my time between my Commencal E bike and my Pivot firebird 29 for the past 2 years and really with an open mind see no downside. The fitness level for both is the same I feel as you push hard on the E bike( yes you can moto uphill,) more effort the faster you go.. on our Thursday night rides will average 8 more miles per ride ( more fitness) than on my pedal bike.. I enjoy them both, and as a trail builder see no more wear and tear than a pedal bike inflicts. The mentality about...
