I will have to look into those. I go through two alloy hoops a year, but always been able to finish a ride no matter what. Hard to do that with most carbon hoops. Looking to try Cush core next with my stans

Great review and bike. I will never understand the demand and hype behind carbon rims. Yes I am sure some are better than others, but the amount of cracked rims I have seen the field from just about every brand is insane.

I think saint drivetrain with 11-36 cassette would have been a perfect match. You can still get away doing most hour or so trail rides with that gearing. Ya it’s not ideal but better off than the dh group here

Been splitting my time between my Commencal E bike and my Pivot firebird 29 for the past 2 years and really with an open mind see no downside. The fitness level for both is the same I feel as you push hard on the E bike( yes you can moto uphill,) more effort the faster you go.. on our Thursday night rides will average 8 more miles per ride ( more fitness) than on my pedal bike.. I enjoy them both, and as a trail builder see no more wear and tear than a pedal bike inflicts. The mentality about...

Wow. Yes, this will get downvoted but I find freedom to use this language more important than popularity. Counter culture is no longer "counter". Its the culture now. People with values like mine, ones that point to pragmatism, and trying to note how impossible (and dangerous) a task like this (making sure nothing is offensive to anyone ever) no matter the expense, are becoming, oddly, the counter culture. Tribe is not an offensive word. Or rather, if it is, we'd better dig up the root of every single word we currently use and put it before the post modernist committee...

Money indeed. Price, UT is a small little town that survives on tourism. It's great to see more people experiencing their local trail system due to ebikes. I have seen more trail systems get shut down due to wreckless mountain bikers than I have due to ebikes. As of trail damage goes, you can do way more trail damage when riding in the wrong conditions then you will ever do on an emtb in normal conditions. All the sencarios you're talking about are the 1%, 99 percent of the people on ebikes are just out riding like everyone else. My...

It's better than seeing a kid on an ipad or cell phone. I recently picked up an ebike in the hope to drive my car less. I now ride to the trailhead each way 6 miles to non-motorized but legal to ebike trails . hard to complain there. Do agree that ebikes should be on legal trails only. The numbers are limited now for legal emtb trails but the numbers are growing thanks to people for bikes. I just lent the BLM a bike for a week and they were amazed. They did not have any complaints about the safety...

Bye Felicia. Don’t worry sspomer. I just signed up as a new member to replace this whiner when he leaves. I dig e-bikes. I don’t own one yet but I do have a ktm 200 trail bike and many bicycles. One of my favorite things to do on the dirt bike is put it in neutral on the downhills and turn it off and coast to the bottom like I’m riding my downhill bike. I can only imagine that would be even funner on an e-bike.

So ebikes on private property at a ski resort are fine, but ebikes on private property like a website are not? Slippery slope is a logical fallacy and most land managers who have allowed ebike trials have reported zero complaints. You're bizutching about nothing.
