I'm wondering what's gone wrong for Danny Hart this year. This is the 4th time in 7 races he's failed to qualify for the finals. For a Danny Hart fan like me, this is making me sad.

Don't spectators at most DH races take the lift to the top and then walk back down the track? The Rock Shox truck at Crankworx had no issues with space. In fact, looks like it could fit a lot more trucks no problem. Most big team trucks are in Europe anyways, so lack of space is likely a non-issue.

Welp looks like my SH51 cleats are getting the CL-MT001 pedicure tonight courtesy of a angle grinder.

Shimano released a new SPD cleat today. Compared to the 30-year-old SH51 cleats, the new CL-MT0001 cleats feature an additional ramp at the back of the cleat, which Shimano claims improves walkability and functionality—enabling back-to-front and top-down clipping in addition to the traditional front-to-back motion. The new CL-MT0001 cleats are backward compatible with all SPD pedals. If I were asked at the start of the year to guess which longstanding Shimano product would finally see an update in 2025, SPD cleats would not make my first twenty guesses. While 30-year development cycles don't bode well for those holding out for...

I like speci but the prototype really grew on me in terms of aesthetics. I guess frameworks has really influenced me because now I wonder why anyone would want a bike with “industrial design” all over it…

Lol, wtf am i getting dragged into this for. But gives me a better idea of who went to the hassle to make a fake linkedin a few months ago to sh** talk me there of all places. As far as which US races get points, go to the UCI calendar on the uci website and filter down to the mtb races specific to the US (or any country you want). It'll tell you which class it is. Last couple pages of the rule book UCI MTB Regulations will tell you how many points that event is worth. earlier in...

I thought I'd seen it all... But then I saw someone hate on Bgoldstone in the Vital forums. A dark day indeed. (I can only assume they tagged the wrong person? Bgoldstone might be the most objective info, non-opinionated poster in the entire forum.)

les gets riders lists are back 1 page. roger is on the list. here's link to pdf - https://chronorace.blob.core.windows.net/webresources/20250821_mtb/entr… if a post gets 10 downvotes (i think that's the threshhold), it gets hidden and you can manually unhide it.

I know it's been discussed a bunch already, but got another pic of the new 40 at the Fox pit in Les Gets. Didn't get a pic of the dials, but looks like it's still running Grip X2. Dials looked the same as the current gen 40.

I bet we'll see Loic on it as well. I think it would be strange for them to "release" the production version of the bike but not have their fastest rider on it

TLDR - You're not qualifying for the world cup. Long version - Satisfy one of the conditions below 1. Top 50 UCI ranked in elite 2. Be in one of the 20 Elite teams (top 15 + 5 season long wildcards) 3. Be in one of the 8 single round wildcard teams 4. Be on the USA federation entry list (capped at 3 riders) 5. Be top 5 at one of the Continental races and get a golden ticket. 6. Be current National/Continental/World champion.

In this current format of team/rider eligibility, no chance of locals racing year one. IF someone is inspired and has deep enough pockets to go get some UCI points, then maybe in year three, a slim chance at year two. There's little to no support for local riders. I'd put my money on one of two local juniors if they hit the gym and move abroad to train and collect points since they've both already outgrown the local parks. If it were ten years ago, there were two riders who'd be able to line up in Pro. One, Park Jun...
