It's blatantly obvious that Lewis just straight up copies prestigious products with the objective of selling them to people who love the looks/bling factor of the absolute high-end stuff but don't want to pay for it. The structural integrity of the design has nothing to do with it.

What's amazing with this design is that Canyon have decided a single pivot is good enough to control the axle path, braking behaviour and pedalling behaviour but the leaverage rate requires a 6 bar linkage and all the additional complexity and hardware associated with that.

Not really sure what you’re talking about. It’s a relative position problem. The whole rear end moves including the ground plane. Or the ground plane doesn’t move and everything else does. There’s no adjusting anything as the bike moves, though. The equations don’t leave anything behind.

Some of you never rode when we had no clutches so the loose, flopping chain smashed against every part of your aluminum bike and the fork knocked in the 1 1/8th head tubes and then echoed through your monocoque frame and it shows. I can barely hear my current bike compared to the 3rd grade marching bands on wheels we used to ride pre-2012. I didn't even know you could hear what your tires were doing for the first 10 years I rode.

A higher pivot creates less squat, but any vehicle with pivot based suspension will squat under acceleration unless there is another force (like chain tension, compression damping) counteracting it UNLESS the pivot is unreasonably high.

When your center of mass accelerates there is a rearward weight transfer. The extreme example if you accelerate so fast that the front wheel lifts and all weight is on the rear wheel. If the IC is just above the wheel axle, it is correct to say that the net reaction force on the axle acts to extend the suspension, however the rearward weight transfer often acts to compress the suspension to a greater degree. You pretty much can't get a pivot high enough to have zero chain growth and reasonable anti-squat. The contact patch with the ground is not what directly creates anti-squat, though. The contact patch creates a moment about the axle. You could also view it as the chain creating a moment about the axle. Either or because the moment created by each is the same. It was released 9 months ago. Long enough for people to have had it for a good portion of a season and then an entire off season. You'd be surprised how many people change their mind in that time period. But really the market is the large amount of people who are big Stumpjumper fans and wouldn't be interested in buying another bike but are curious what a high pivot version of the exact same bike might feel like. There has never been one (at least not that has been visible) before.

Answered this in the forum, but will drop the answer here for people that don't go to the forums. Have not test fit it on an aluminum frame yet. I don't see any reason it wouldn't work, but can't verify until it has been test fit.
