Really great insight to not only the situation YT was in, but also how bike oems handle their business, as well as an anecdotal case study of how PE/VC actually happens. It's nice being able to digest that paradigm with a case study that is relevant to my interests... makes what is otherwise a pretty dry subject if you're not in the thick of it and makes it palatable. Moving WorldCups to a global platform would be fare better than the fragmented distribution they have right now. There’s a platform for Europe, there’s FloSports in North America and several other platforms for people in other parts of the world. Costs for FloSports is ridiculous. I love watching, but I share an account with a roadie friend, then we’re not trying to log into the platform at the same time. A Netflix partnership could inject money into the WorldCups, maybe even increase prize money….. wait I’m delusional lol 😂

I don't understand what you are getting at. YT made a financial commitment to those racers, those racers fulfilled their end of the agreement and Markus failed to pay them what he owed them. Whether you think a race team is a good investment or not, a business owner should pay their obligations. While it may be legal to not pay the team members it isn't ethical.

Watching the Downtime Podcast with Marcus Flossman . I just got super upset. He talks about arranging a legal way to deliver bikes to customers while under court administration where he bought the bikes to deliver to the customers with his own money but then later on in the video, he’s basically shrugging 🤷🏼‍♂️ his shoulders when it came to supporting YT Mob , says the court wouldn’t let them pay the riders or the team. Riders are paid as independent contractors. So we now know he bought the company back. My question is why the heck didn’t he enter...

Really confused on what he means by more complicated warranty for jenson bikes but above that says Honor warranties? - “yes of course, 100% regardless of where you got the bike”. This doesnt make sense. Buying from jenson isnt a 2nd owner bike. Its still a brand new YT and warranty should be honored the same
