3/8/2023 2:29pm The thing with that is... The cycling industry sold the unknowing consumer on something, that is more or less more expensive and more cumbersome or complicated, that gives little to no benefit, but looks cool. And because of one of these something, another something was implemented. It's up to you to decide did the wireless drivetrains enable through-headset routing or does through-headset routing necessitate wireless drivetrains. I'll be here in my corner with external routing and mechanical drivetrains.

3/8/2023 2:28pm If you are stuck with headset cable routing, then every cable you can avoid, is a win on maintenance side.

2/15/2023 1:39pm Surely they are anodized? Didn't know we had it that good over here. Rear boost 350 XD hub is 165 € (150 for the HG version!), front boost hub is 60 €. EX511 is 75 € a piece (with nipples of course) and if you can find DT Competition spokes in the correct length (it's a pain to get them lately...) they are ~60 € for the complete rolling set. So 435 € without building the wheels.

2/15/2023 1:37pm Looks like the release of the new Smuggler is imminent. Nice that they're moving back to a non-trunnion shock.

2/15/2023 4:24am Man made the coolest international race series there was. Had photographers and pros jumping there to work/ride for free cause it was exciting. then he ruined that series making it “commercial” and ruined interest in covering and watching it. Nobody wants to watch pros race a local enduro race the whole draw was the new locations, epic days, and unreal stage lengths. now he’s ruining dh selling out the same way. he literally states in his podcast the tracks are too long to broadcast a full run which is exactly what he is promising fans by this discovery switch. Literally...

2/3/2023 1:07pm I have heard essentially the same thing. Don't forget SRAM hasn't released a new cable-actuated road groupset since the launch of their wireless electronic road groupsets. Rumor has it that while the old stuff will remain in production for a while, SRAM will not be doing any new development on cable-actuated drivetrains going forward. Oh, and re: the chainring mounting on the new crank--as far as I know SRAM has always used the 8-bolt pattern for their spider-based power meters. Suggests that there may be an integrated power meter option (again, as seen on the road side) for those new...

1/31/2023 1:05pm Long time reader here had to create an account just to answer this. By the looks of the picture Rob is still on Vitus bikes. The text on the seat tube gives it away.
