Wow, I didn't know about Matt and Jeff's concussion history. I've had a very similar concussion background but I'm even older than Matt at 55. Matt might remember that iat Mt Snow in 1999 every pro qualified for the finals because I knocked myself out in for 5 minutes in qualifying. My first concussion was when I went over a berm in a bmx race at 14 (I was a pro-tec skate style helmet) next at 16 skating a halfpipe and I went on to have 11 concussions that I remember. From 2013-2015 (Well after my last concussion) I was...

It almost seems like workers labor is undervalued by the people running the companies they work for. Like workers aren’t receiving a fair share of the value they generate for their firms. I’m just spitballing here.

I mean if all new gear had some hidden design I wouldn’t be mad about it 😂 This is an aggressive start though

I can assure you it's not fake. I know the brand/component these guys are talking about. It went from 300 days last fall to 450 days in December, then 620 days in Jan/Feb. I'm doing my forecasts for our purchasing department so that they can order product to arrive in late 2023 right now (30 months from now). Forecasting (which is essentially trying to predict the future), is incredibly difficult under the best circumstances. In the present situation, there's almost zero detail on what the product will look like 2+ years from now other than the vaguest of details ("so-and-so...

It makes me slightly more concerned when I'm sitting in bed thinking about life, but on the trails I don't think i've pulled back or been more cautious. What it has done is made me hold onto parts that I would prob have otherwise tried to unload for cash.

This is really good stuff. Exactly why I ride bikes - having fun and heckling friends. Makes me want to go ride. Great job to all.

Interesting strategy- posting pictures well before embargos... Not the best way to keep getting prototype shocks Sad

Every time someone calls boxxer stanchions noodles I can immediately tell they haven’t ridden one. But yeah I’m sure it’s in the pipeline so they stay trendy

Been waiting for this one for a while! I hope there's some difficult questions but won't be let down if it's just the normal stuff.

While the weights are similar, the tire feel is quite different between the two. We've tried to consolidate/cut DD in the past but it's the preferred casing of many of our enduro athletes. Some opt to run full DH casings for enduro, but most want DD. DD uses two layers of 120 TPI casing while DH uses two layers of 60 TPI casing. The butyl sidewall insert also extends farther up the sidewall on DH tires compared to DD giving more casing rigidity/stability. Horses for courses and all that.

This is a great question that I'm not sure the answer to. Scaling stem length to height seems like a good idea, intuitively. A bike for a bigger person should ideally have a longer reach, longer front center, longer chainstays, wider bars, and taller saddle, so having a longer stem seems to make sense. But maybe stem length is more related to steering feel, like head angle or fork offset, and should not vary with different sizes? All I know for sure is that I'm tall, I've been happy on 45's, 50's, and 60mm stems, and a 35 or 40mm...

Nice, I love the "build it but don't build it but if you do build it do it in a way that maybe it will get ignored long enough to eventually become legal" approach. As a land manager, I can neither endorse nor disavow this tactic. Edit: But I will fully endorse not leaving a big, steamy pile all over other people's hard work, whether that hard work is a well-built trail or a successful partnership. Just be cool honey bunny.
