Heard the same thing about the Mezzer but I am still eager trying one as the Mattoc is really an impressive 140mm fork. 2 Buddies ride Mattocs on their smaller travel bikes as well and are amazed. Really nice damping cartridge with a wide band of adjustability, Air Champer is perfectly tuneable and overall a great ride quality. All other forks I ride normally go straight to a suspension tuner. I think this one is the first in years which did not need that.

Pedantic critique: a measurement error from 25% sag to 29% sag is not 4%, it's 4 percentage points. The actual difference is 4/25=0.16, actually a 16% difference. Also I couldn't make it through this very long video and the product is wildly expensive for what it is.

I was happy when I saw that Shimano made a specific LinkGlide 11 speed Di2 derailleur, but what a let down when I saw that they basically locked it to OE market and force you to wire it. What kind of decision is this ? Leave it wireless and give the option to wire it for power if you want to, not even all bikes are compatible. I truly hope they will let us decide to run it wired or wireless for XT and below.

I’m waiting for deore d2. My deore derailleur has got some pretty heavy miles on it and is a bit clunkier than it used to be. I’m hoping the price is right! Combine it with a cheaper wire less dropper. Refinish my headtube for a super clean look.

Transmission derailleurs aren’t cheap either, xo is 800 and XX is 950. Shimano pricing is on par with high end sram. It is also back compatible with existing chain and cassette. Transmission made it so you had to buy all new pieces when it was released.

I'm a little surprised at the cost of the new Shimano drivetrain. I would consider it to replace my XO1 AXS shifter and derailleur (and move that to another bike) that I've been running with an XT chain and cassette. Almost $1,000 for shifter and derailleur is higher than I was expecting.

I'm getting the new VTX in for testing shortly on my Megatower. Currently on the Vorsprung Telum. Excited to compare both against my stock SDLX Ultimate with HBO, which is a great shock in its own right.

Did you all ever switch to a 27.5" rear end? Jeff Kendall Weed did and said it solved the turning and traction issues he was having with the 29" rear wheel.
