8/27/2024 8:40am Unpopular opinion - this bike looks good, is made in the US, and that's where the good ends. You're maintaining a zillion bolts for what is essentially a Kona, plus it costs $4k. Oh and it's steel, so somewhere along those zillion bolts it's gonna rust because you haven't looked them all through and paint doesn't cover the threads and...

8/27/2024 6:27am Rode a few laps on the new Schwalbe Albert radial tyre. It was bikepark so can't really comment on grip. But the main reason I'm writing is to warn you that finger tyre pressure checks won't work on this tyre with radial construction! At 25psi it feels way softer than the front kryptotal at 19psi, same volume and similar casing.

8/19/2024 8:58am I'd like to think I'm pretty open to new tech. I don't hate the wireless stuff, although probably not my first choice. It would be greatly appreciated if someone can enlighten me what are the benefits of auto-shifting on a mountain bike - I struggle to see it. Yes we do have auto transmission in just about every car now...

8/15/2024 6:09pm My warranty experience was not to recent, but it was great. It was during the pandemic 2021. I had a SC 2018 Nomad that had a small crack in the inside of the rear triangle that i found when i was cleaning it. no idea how it happened. I think it was a rock strike, anyhow SC asked for proof of purchased and a lot of pictures. After a couple of days they approved warranty, because they no longer had any 2017 V4 Nomads rear Triangles; they offer a 2022 V5 Nomad which I was very happy to get. Over...

8/15/2024 12:35pm Wanted to hear everyone's warranty experiences with bike products! Things do break, and will break, and it's a pretty important metric on how companies handle those cases. I will start with my own - 1. We Are One wheels - bought a custom set from Fantik. Cracked the rear rim going down some nasty chunk. After some pictures and filling...

8/15/2024 7:26am I feel you, routing a dropper can be painful. That being said...I sold my AXS dropper and went with one up v3. Can get a 210 drop instead of the 175 max on the AXS, and a much lower stack height.

8/14/2024 7:02am Regarding “derailments;“ Every discussion in here is about tech and innovation. If we are discussing damper designs, rubber compounds, frame materials, etc. How are any of those discussions a derailment? Does everything HAVE to be a rumor? I haven’t seen anybody post a movie review, a story about a riding trip, or the current weather in Iowa. It’s all relevant. Funny thing about all those links people put up to discuss specific topics. Nobody engages with them. This thread is always active and always interesting. If rumors are sparse, what’s the harm?

8/12/2024 2:10pm " Top 5 ranked in the Continental Series or 3 riders from a federation can compete." That's at least what Spomer said in the original post for how many 'privateers' or riders not on factory teams will have access to race each round. Having a privateer team that facilitates parts, mechanics, pit space, etc., would be sweet. I know that happens in Supercross (can't remember the name of the team.) I don't think ESO/WBD really cares about privateers enough to make this happen, and the underdog story will always come to fruition once a season. I don't think we need...

8/10/2024 4:34pm That’s a current rule. Teams can already have up to 10 riders most just choose not too And there currently is a rule for 15 elite teams based on each years standings with 5 wild card teams Section 4.18 https://assets.ctfassets.net/761l7gh5x5an/6qYIYIddcAPjN248n7tVDI/60971c…

8/10/2024 3:59pm Went to read the current rules and highlighted them below. Nothing about the team stuff has changed - it has been 15+5, and will continue to be. Rest your pitchforks on that. Protected riders going away good or bad, I don't know, I suppose the current top riders will have to put a bit more effort into qualies? The team...

7/30/2024 7:15am Just watched. Unstoppable force was coming through named Pidcock. Almost mid-pack on an unpassable course first lap and then up to 3rd. Back to 9th after a puncture. Back to the front. Man deserved it & ripped off a boss move to get past when Koretzky didn’t even expect it!

7/26/2024 7:11am Yeah, I went to checkout the whole course on social media, didn't seem as rad I had hoped for. At least there's some sections that look cool.
