Yeah I feel like the belt drive positives (quiet, low maintenance) don't outweigh the negatives (belts breaking/derailling, parts availability, mud performance, etc). The chain setup seems simpler to me but I've never had a belt bike, I've only ridden one around a bit that was way too big for me (Adam Prosise's one-off Reeb Brewser). I always run a waxed chain on all my bikes, helps a lot with the HP idler bikes especially. Gearbox drag is definitely a thing, but for my long travel bike I think the tradeoff in durability, weight distribution, and suspension performance is worth it...

Short answer is I don't know. David wasn't sure (his fork) nor was I. We both thought it was 52mm but I was able to compare to a friend's who is in fact 52 and the crowns were different, so now I'm thinking 48, which jives with the turning radius being so...bad. As to if I noticed the answer is "not really". There was already a lot of change happening, so I'd be lying if I said I could feel a few mms of offset change (assuming its 48). That said, I'm sure if I had many crowns to test...

Was thinking of making a spreadsheet with all bikes in all sizes that’s ongoing and added to that shows all the ratios for everyone to have access to and be able to scope Be fun to put pros set ups in it as well for nerding and stuff like that
