The worst thing about EMTBs that nobody mentions is...riding with people who still ride regular bikes...the constant waiting for them to catch up. It really is a problem that needs to be addressed.

From what I (and the Rooted MTB guys like Austin HK who thinks Aaron Gwin is a cool and wildly fast dude) saw on course throughout practice, Gwin was very very fast and so was Dakota. The track required a lot of precision and because it was relatively flat, punished mistakes harshly. I have full belief that the bike isn’t...

If someone is dumb enough to set up a fork wrong because of the colors, they aren't the target for this fork.

Oh dear, I hope no one mounts it upside down by accident too. Fortunately they've printed the word 'rebound' in giant block letters next to to the adjustment knob, which should give the most tech savvy user at least a fighting chance of success.

I have noticed the E-bike to be difficult on some steep uphill switchbacks with obstacles as the weight makes it tough to maneuver, but on the downhills I've had no issue. Sure it's heavy but you just initiate corners earlier to compensate for the extra stability. On really steep terrain you must be careful of the back coming around on...

I love the idea of a 1.5 straight headtube on these bikes. Why not? More options is a good thing in this ROBOT's eyebeams.

I liked this one even more than the first! Felt like I was back at the races hanging out with everyone. There aren't many worse feelings than having a "perfect race run" only to be 5+ seconds off the pace. Sea Otter 2010 was not a perfect run for me, I was still in practice mode and forgot to pedal into the small portion of pavement near the bottom, but either way, seeing how far off Jared Graves I and everyone else was had my mind blown. He pulled ~16 seconds on me and the other top juniors and 2...
