My understanding is that it has that feature where you can slightly move the pedals backwards and it completely disengages the hub so it rolls freely and has no kickback at all.

That's the WRP zero friction internals for DT hubs you are thinking of

Be cool if dt Swiss bought that tech from mic and he now has a pile not cash to throw at his other crazy inventions

Dual crown + water bottle. Sounds trivial but a huge feature for us who just ride park and don't race.

Wow. Maybe I should be a dentist because I can understand the appeal to this bike and its warranted price. You guys are missing the obvious as to why it cost like $15,000… it says YETI on the bike. That worth about 7 horse power at least

LEGACY of the 38?? That shit is like 5 years old, this isn't some 20 year anniversary edition or something.

That one's even better since you can stash a bladder full of water down inside the bike's frame storage and have one of the best looking DH bikes out there not have it's beauty ruined by a water bottle in its silhouette. Not sure how far the cavity goes down but maybe you'll even get some on-trend added weight at the BB too!

Did I say there’s need to spend 25k nzd?

I commented on the “ top carbon models e-bike for 12k Nzd” which is not even remotely true, that’s all

I kind of feel this layout might be the next crab. It opens up the space for a water bottle even more than the vertical shock orientation and it stresses the seat tube to a lesser degree, instead loading the top tube which can be bigger/stronger than the usually very defined seat tube.

But what if we go further and mount the shock to a bridge between the top and bottom tubes… this will make sure we can make both tubes lighter… and then we can probably add another bridge maybe on the right side of the shock so it’s all rigid..

Also makes it easier to have a straight seat tube with deep insertion. Some vertical crabs out there have to have a weird bend in the seat tube in order to get the rocker main pivot in place.

Isn't this the same crab layout as the older gen Rocky Mountain Altitude and Bird frames?
