I'm sure nobody will complain if you link a cheaper set of the Lewis variant (can be done in the DMs as well). It's still a completely different product to the one on Aliexpress.

The lever of the 4-pot brakes is exactly the same! Only the mounting bracket and other minor accessories are different.

I'm just starting my work day, but once I'm done I'll be more than glad to search for the 2-pot model once I'm done.

Stop trying to promote these fake brakes. There is no rumor and no innovation in them.

You can literally scroll down their Instagram and see the brakes being branded as Loongze in the past…

These things are copies of the German Trickstuff brakes (probably the best brakes one can buy).

Here they are, with the same mounting bracket as the other Trickstuff knockoffs:

what looks wrong on them? (apart from maybe shady quality control?). They do seem really decent? (lever adjustments, bearing mounted lever, robust bleed port, etc...) I fail to see what makes them worse than the basic shimano/sram models which are not perfect either...

Anyone know the Rocky Instinct/Altitude embargo date?

bump...eagerly awaiting this one

Just would be a little surprised if it is that close. I thought the RM Enduro team were running new bikes well ahead of release for both the slayer and current iteration of the Altitude -- and they haven't switched. Maybe with season over now we'll see some spy shots of them on the bike ?

They will be on the new bike now.

I think they didn‘t want to finish the season on a new bike - at least that makes sense to me.

Instinct and Altitude still sharing the same front/rear triangles?

Yeah that makes sense to me too -- I just remembered they raced the current altitude almost an entire season before releasing/ unveiling the bike for public, so I figured this would be similar (i.e have the team on the bike providing feedback throughout the season, especially if it is such a change in design).

Of course it could just be said that the bike was more ready later in the year and yeah a bike change wouldn't make sense XD.

Re: Lewis/Loongze, they are definitely not the same as the ZRace/Oniiri brakes. I have 2 sets of the ZRace/Oniiri  and they're completely different internally & externally. I can't speak from the Lewis units, but the Z/O's have been faultless. Their a bit of a hybrid of Hope calipers with a Diritessima & Shimano MC love child. Gave the first set a go when my SLX brakes died during the height of Covid (MC piston swole on one and the P cup got nipped by the timing port hole on the other, 4m outta warranty of course) and finding another set of brakes (with alloy mc pistons and phenolic caliper ones) at a reasonable price was proving problematic. The bang/buck value so far is mighty fine. Two winters on the hardtail/fatbike, no leaks, weeps, or seeps and the power is pretty impressive. They held up fine running downhill in Duluth and Copper Harbor on the full sus. Just got a 3rd set in for the Status 160 I just built up.

As for the Lewis.... I wonder how their bite point adjust differs from what's used in the Dominions. Seems awfully, awfully similar, but I've yet to dissect a set of the Doms.

Not sure how reliable of a source this is, but it appears that Sram has applied for a trademark for 'Maven', although who knows whether that means the brakes will be coming soon or not, especially given that they're still testing those red callipers with the current Code Stealth levers as well as the Mavens

I only searched briefly since I was working, but as you I couldn't find anything. Seems like the company rebranded to Lewis.

So at the bottom it states

"Status: Notice of Allowance (NOA) sent (issued) to the applicant. Applicant must file a Statement of Use or Extension Request within six" (its suppose to say six months but the webpage cuts off the text)

This is meaning they will essentially show the use of the trademark or file for, I believe it's a one time extension on the trademark. If it is not being used the application is trashed. Theirs took 5 months, they probably expedited for an extra cost because otherwise it takes about a year to obtain a trademark.

TLDR: New brakes in within the next 6 months. Also Im not a lawyer, just filed a bunch of trademarks.

No, altitude is moving to a low mount shock over the BB and instinct is staying somewhat the same but updated.

Is there any proof that they will go for high pivot (like Trek did)?

You can pay 300+ bucks a piece for something sold for ~110 a set just for the brand, but it's up to you.

No they are not the same. The diameter of the zrace leverpiston is 9.9mm and of the lewis brakes 9 mm. So the lewis brakes have the same piston diameter of the trickstuff maxima. The lewis brakes have a 14 and 17 mm piston. If you pair the lewis leavers with the cura 4 piston you gona have a brake more powerfull than trickstuff maxima.

The new 38mm dvo fork - you have the option to run either the current d1 damper found in the onyx or use the new d2 damper

I saw a guy promoting Lewis Bike brakes on several Facebook groups.

They have a website now.

lewisbike.com

The 4 piston brake:

It might look familiar, as Trickstuff has a similar design, but there are some differences, improvements. They have bite reach and bite point adjustment.

I've asked why they don't offer grip holes at the lever blade, the answer I got was:

''We thought that would make the blade not strong enough.''
Also I've been told they offer spare parts.

Cut out of lever body:

They also have a trails/xc brake:

Flat mount calipers to:

This is spammy AF. Knock it off.
