mtbboy1993 Added a comment about press release Ride Concepts Releases The Tallac Mid Shoe

5/29/2025 11:05pm
It won't be as it's gonna be as breathable as the regular version, as this is a summer shoe, no insulation. So you will get cold. It's not waterproofed, nor windproof. I have the regular version. it makes clack clack sound when walking, kinda like sandals. The RC shoes are too narrow for me, just like Five Ten, sizing is the same. I got 11cm wide and 27.5 long feet, and 44 is still too narrow, but any longer and the shoe will be way too long, 44 is already too long as the toe guard doesn't cover it properly...

New 3d printed titanium levers for the Piccola it seems like, recognized the shape from a set they showed at some bikeshow a while back Lets see if there are any other reworked bits. The piccolas has been out of stock for close to a year, not sure if they have built up stock or done something more. Release is apparently april 24th according to "derbikedoc" on instagram. Pic from a bikeshow, seems very similar to the shape in the video above.

Yeah - Some new Moto suspension from Intend. Sliding bushings in the front fork, and a newly developed air+coil rear shock. Shock only recommended for people above 85kg. Also modular shock mount, so you can swap between regular eyelet and trunnion mount, cool idea. Limited to 10 pieces, seems like they are already sold out. But we can hope they start selling the rear shock in the future, but in their normal colors. Seems like a lot of work to develop a full cnc'd one piece shock housing, and having springs made+speced by Eibach for 10 shocks. https://www.intend-bc.com/shop/moto/?v=efad7abb323e

Anyone thinking possible Brembo entrance into mtb, or too early for them to have something started by now?

Not secret tech - possibly very useful tech? So this has been around for a year and they have just released external triggers for it - https://bybtech.it/product/chrono#content https://bybtech.it/store/product/byb-chrono https://bybtech.it/store/product/byb-chrono-external-trigger-double Has anyone used this device? The gps sample rate is 25 Hz compared to 1Hz of a Garmin/Iphone

A really bad pic - But a bike reviewer posted some pics of his current test mule, and he had blurred out a seatpost and a drivetrain. The seatpost was clearly the new Rockshox dropper, so I thought that the drivetrain might be something from srammers as well. He had posted a very dark pic of the same bike just a few hours earlier. Which with a little bit of editing - Looks like this Clearly a transmission-esque rear deraillieur, with a transmission casette. Front chainring looks different from any of the wireless models, and since there are two hoses/cables...

I first thought trickstuff as well, machining looks very nice, and the color of the pads looks like trickstuff power. But, there is a snapshot when he leans the bike over to the other side, and you can clearly see whatever Hope does when you can remove the pistons. And the banjo fitting on the caliper is the same as Hope uses, different from trickstuff. Also there are some adjustor screws on the levers which looks like what Hope usually does So im betting its some new updated hope version

For those who don't want to read / in case the photos get pulled: SRAM Transmission (non AXS aka cable-actuated). Also, tire pressure management system? Wonder if that's just a pressure monitor like a TireWiz or something that can actually change pressures (which could be cool). It comes on all levels so I would assume it's just a built-in monitor. Also also, 160mm cranks stock 🤘

In the PB comments, many are asking why not put the battery internal, but then you have to plug your whole bike into a USB-C charger instead of just popping the battery out and leaving your bike in the garage
