We had to dig a bit as well to fully grasp this one. There is a shaped lip on the inside of that triangle that assists in holding the tube/strap combo. Not exactly SWAT. Perhaps more like integrated storage assistance...?

Unless I'm missing something, that is not integrated frame storage...

the leverage ratio graph is very misleading, with the y axis starting at 2. 12.5% progression is surprisingly low for an enduro bike launched as a 2022 model. By all means, it will probably still ride great, even if it is more of an air can specialist. It will be interesting...more

I nearly died at the "integrated storage" surely they are taking the piss? it's a strap ffs!

Best fork test ever!

I'll throw this one out here: judging by the current success of the bike industry, all the new Dorados are probably sold out! Luckily I'm raffling off my custom Rulezman Race Tuned Dorado, with up to 210mm travel for only 3 per ticket.

Check it here:...more

Would be cool to know how the IRT from the Mezzer/Dorado stacks up against this.

I was running 70 psi in the main chamber, and took it down as low as 85 in the ramp-up chamber (I weigh around 88 kgs in my birthday suit). Never went as low as 110% (which would be like 77 psi...). The shorter travel fork gets basically the same volume negative chamber, so it becomes even more...more

Thanks, those are some good ideas for me to try. Like you said, it always feels good on the small bump, it's just dialing in the end that takes some time.

Yo @milkman55,

I've seen mixed reviews on DVO forks... and yet in my experience they've far outperformed any 36 or Lyrik.

I often wonder how other reviewers can equate the Onyx to the Lyrik, when the second I replaced the Lyrik on my e-bike with the Onyx, the air spring, chassis stiffness,...more

It's mainly because I've been spending time on those forks lately, so they're fresh in my head. I have of course ridden plenty of 36s and I have the very latest Lyrik on another bike right now, and I feel like what's valid for the ZEB/38 comments holds true for the Lyrik/36 as well. Technically...more

Strange to compare this to the ZEB and 38....Wouldn't it be comparable to the 36 and Lyrik? You also forgot the DVO Onyx. I've ridden an EXT and while it was very nice, I felt the Onyx was a bit better in every way, but that's just me. It was also a lot cheaper which is nice....Great to see so...more

Have you had any issues with air pressure leaking from the + or ++ chambers? With both valves being located on top of the fork and not having individual valve caps, I have heard air can leak from the valves since the rubber seal in a typical valve cap is supposedly the primary seal for Schrader...more

I haven't had any issue with that in the ~9 months or so I've had mine. The air cap has an o-ring and is pretty snug, so if there was any air leaking, it would have pressurized and I would have heard it escape when I removed it.

Been on one for a few weeks. I haven't quite dialed it in, but the grip is unparalleled, as is the chassis stability. No brake dive. No diving in sharp berms.

I'm still getting a lot of feedback in medium sized hits, like really big braking bumps or holes right before braking in blown out...more

Might not be the popular opinion, but cable brakes for the win!

the Spyke caliper works great, but eventually the threads in the pistons will wear out, I had to swap them recently, but it lasted a long time, so not a surprise it had to be replaced. but the brake levers are not perfect, not a fan of riveted wire puller, and the play in the lever. but no problem with power, but the return spring requires more finger strength, so it was fatiguing until I got stronger in my fingers, but then it was not a problem.
