Transition news added here for peaceful, easy feelin'. PRs sent at midnight with no heads up are rough^^^
----------------------------------

TRANSITION BIKES and FMD Racing Development Join Forces to Create 'Transition Factory Racing'

The entire Transition Bikes crew is elated to be back on the World Stage with FMD Racing .

"Having spent a good few days testing and having fun with Transition, it has been so refreshing to see how passionate and involved they are with our sport. I strongly believe that FMD and Transition are an amazing match and together can make big steps in the right direction. They are eager to help us develop as a team and do anything they can to help, which is such a positive feeling going into the season. Let the journey begin!"
- Tahnée Seagrave / Transition Factory Racing

"2011 was the last year a Transition Factory supported team competed in the World Cup circuit. And I am absolutely psyched to have these guys representing us and how our partnership has come together. From the first instant I spoke with Tony, it was apparent to me how parallel our motives and expectations were. Having just returned from a week in Wales working with the full team, I'm amazed and inspired by their passion for racing and all things related. It already feels like they're an extension of the Transition family.

Being able to work so closely with their mechanics on their race bikes and assure they have absolutely everything they need for success was invaluable. Working directly with the mechanics and athletes is as streamlined as it gets. There are so many nuances involved with equipment and race-craft at this level, and being able to tap into my racing and inner bike geek eliminates all communication barriers as we're speaking the same language. I have no doubt it is going to be an exciting year and I can't wait to see what they're going to do on the TR500!"- Lars Sternberg / Transition Bikes

"For the first time in FMD Racing's history, we have been able to work closely with our main sponsor - Myself, the mechanics & riders have just had Lars spend a week at 'FMD Towers'. He was able to visit MoJo whilst the mechanics and riders were setting up their TR500's with their new Fox suspension and was also on hand to advise and assist at testing the following day... Lars' input has been, and will continue to be, invaluable. We also found out he sucks at karting!

We are so stoked to be part of the Transition family - the whole FMD team wanted to partner with a company that believes in what we are doing and where we are going. After speaking to several companies, there was one company who's enthusiasm stood out, a mutual respect followed and a new 'bromance' was formed. This partnership allows us to continue our development of young riders so we can ensure there is a proper structure that gives the correct support and opportunities.

Tahnée tested several bikes at the end of 2015 and the Transition TR500 - straight out the box - was the only one that instantly had her grinning. I will not say "the bike is faster, the company is awesome" like everyone else but what I will say is that the riders love the bike and the company is full of people that truly love to ride bikes - all bikes. This love gives them the ability to build the bikes everyone wants to ride.

The 'stoke' factor is mutual and long may it continue!." - Tony Seagrave / Transition Factory Racing

Continuing FMD's development heritage the team consists of two programs; World Cup and Development. Tahnée Seagrave and Neil Stewart make up the Transition Factory World Cup Racing roster. While Kaos Seagrave, Joe Parfitt and Jamie Edmonson comprise the Transition / FMD Development Racing roster.

Maybe Gwins whole plan for the year is to charge companies to allow rumors to be spread that he may sign for them, so they can enjoy the rapid rise in marketing. Maybe he won't be riding at all this year, just making that internet marketing money from the bidding rumors war after he watched a few of those Youtube sidebar videos that detail how to become an internet millionaire.

Before too long he will be making ads of his own telling us about he reads one book a day, and is more proud of his knowledge than he is of his Ferrari.

Seems on point with some of the speculation in this thread.
See? I called the whole thing, Gwin confirmed with Lamborghini ownership, and building a house that I am sure is stocked full of bookshelves in the garage. Gwin to ride for the Youtube/Tai Lopez Internet Marketing Millionaires team.

If we're talking about the video, yeah, most certainly a Porsche, the new (991) GT3. If it's his own, he must be making some serious cash for the past few years. The MSRP for the ordinary GT3 is 130k USD but with the current prices it's easy to think it was more like 150 (and some options). That's a sizeable chunk of a (fleeting) salary to put down on a car...

Though it does seem that the things will hold their value insanely well.

I can tell you with certainty I would be buying a similar car if I remotely had the means. Even if it was just for a short time (year or two). The cost of ownership is high but so long as its bought "right" depreciation very low (if at all).

Preaching to the choir, if i could, i'd have tons of cars. But i think, even making something like 500k a year, i'd be scared for the first few years to blow the money on something as 'fleeting' as a car. Only if it was clear that the money was well invested and wasn't going anywhere would i be calm enough to buy a toy like that.

Mind you, two things that i'd most like to do in life are either to be involved with bike design or to be involved with motorsports (i'm a mechanical engineer).

Haha, well I did ask via the Vital MTB instagram post whether he was planning on entering a Josh Homme lookalike contest with that hair...

Doesn't sound like Eddies going anywhere.

So should we expect something from Gwin today? He said 'a couple days' on the 17 questions, and that was probably shot on tues'ish...

I think he ran into health problems and is pretty much out of the game. I hope I'm wrong though...He was always such a great mainstay even from back in the norba days.

Just saw this Red Bull colab video drop. Big production, been out over a week. Who do you think is rally-driving that Audi in the beginning? Gwin (0:45 eyes, 0:55 voice), even though he isn't in the credits I'm pretty sure that is Gwin in the Audi. Thus, this pretty seriously confirms Gwin with Audi & Red Bull, no indication of bike brand. He isn't in the credits so they are still trying to keep it secret.

I'd be willing to bet he'll drop a pretty impressive announcement video (similar to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMqADdsVmwQ) from Moab now... You don't think that he'd let all the Red Bull resources and film equipment go to waste down there? And the Audi shots are definitely not some coincidental accident, Audi is in on it too...

Methinks thats a different chase car - they look to their ~2'oclock while saying "got eyes on you" and Kirby Chambliss plane approaches the Audi from the rear. Voice at 0:55 sure sounds Gwin-ish. Damn, got all excited I might have internet sleuthed out some news. Even if it isn't him, seeing Audi and Red Bull are collaborating would still indicate Gwin could represent both brands. Plus the Candide Thovex Audi add aligns the idea that Audi marketing is supporting / identifying with 'extreme sportz' athletes.

If a Gwin announcement video drops with Red Bull and Audi in Moab, I was right, ha!
