+1 to Armor. Also don't forget about armor, armor, and armor. Seriously. Armor has the potential to turn broken bones into big bruises, and big bruises into little 'whoopsies'. Case in point = I was at Deer Valley this summer and was debating putting on my full getup (listed below). Luckily I concluded "just wear it all like always". First...

Impressive video for the fact they cleaned all the moves!! In the PC / DV area. Localz call it either Spin Cycle or Twist-n-Shout, depending on how long they've been getting rad in the area. Ask around the mtb crowd at the PCMR parking lot.

1. Wow. Watched twice already. 2. OMG it looks slippery. 3. Holy jesus these guys are good. 4. I'd almost reckon it the slower pace this year actually almost looks less dangerous than what went down in 2015.

I can't even take the rest of this article seriously after your Moab introduction. So lets look into my crystal ball... You decided to pedal the whole Porcupine loop instead of paying for a shuttle = amateur. Based on your dehydration, I can assume you brought maybe a couple water bottles on a 30 mile desert loop = double dangerous amateur move. Ironically your lady was doing better in the hydration department so I bet she a actually brought 3 liters in a Camelbak and despite her insistence you told her you'd "be fine" with less, and then tried to...
