The bike in the photo for sure is not a full suspension and probably not a xc bike either. Given the cassette a gravel model makes sense.

Regarding the bold look (ha, a pun), carbon only then?
You have the new Spark in alu version...

I’ll save everyone the time since it was a waste of mine. Pivots ice cream countdown was for a short video that now leads another 12 day countdown. Don’t really understand it

I thought we'd upped the official "we don't know when it's coming" up to "2 Moar Months"

has there ever been discussion about shock heating up (or not being able to cool off) inside the "bold" style frames? might not be a huge deal on an XC bike, but if they're going longer travel, would that be an issue?

Considering Genius and Ransom bikes already use inline shocks, I'd say that's a bigger issue to begin with than encasing the shock inside the frame.

As for heating up, it will have an effect, doubt it will be a big effect (might be even more of an effect with a black bike leaving it out in the sun compared to riding it...), though on the other hand there is the benefit of keeping the shock clean.

Another negative that I see is also the slack actual seat tube angle though... Looks very 2015.

Could be a fun test. Get a new Scott/Bold and another bike with a comparable suspension design and identical shock. Slap some of those temp-sensitive stickers on each air can and do some laps on descents of varying lengths. Then post it and wait for everyone on the internet to tell you how you did science wrong.

Can't believe it's into the 3rd EWS round and no one has taken a spy shot of the We Are One bike etc. I know they have asked media to respectfully hold off (and that's cool with me) but no fans?

Also agree WTF is Pivot doing waiting so long on the new Firebird? Why not just launch with first EWS when everyone sees it, it's carbon so that has to be final frame (unless they are playing with linkages still) or it's logistical challenges putting together specs for full bikes.

My guess would be is it isn’t going to be available till fall anyways. If you are looking for a new firebird you know it’s coming and might not buy something else. Is there really much to need to know. It’s pivot’s long travel 29er, it’s gonna be a pivot with big wheels and a lot of travel. It’s gonna be an ideal bike for me on paper but it will be a solid 2 grand above my budget.

About the WAO bike, the guys have kept it low key and respectful people have not taken pictures I guess.. I can tell you it's stunningfrom a quick glance I had the chance to... Looks very production ready.. Saw 2 colors....but not much more info....

Is the shock being driven by some kind of pull-cord? What is the extra spring behind the seat tube for? I'm so confused.
