Looks like most of the big names are running the mullet, except the Santa Cruz boys and Amoury, there aren’t that many more on the full 29? I suppose most privateers and smaller teams running the older Supreme. In contrast I think there will also be very few full 27.5 bikes still out there too...

I think height is going to be deciding factor for most riders. I can barely keep a 29er out of my ass on a trail bike no way could I do one on a dh rig without some serious change in technique

Good point actually, one I never gave much thought. Even though after buying a 29er bike last year I had two assbuzzing moments in the first few weeks of riding it. Though that was pushing the bike down low over a 'drop' or something along those lines, I'm not sure suspension travel plays thaaaaat much of a role here (full compression events are most likely going to happen with the rider more centered over the bike).

But nevertheless, it's a fair point and could be an issue with smaller riders, yeah. And I can also see how the loooooong 29er works for the likes of Greg.

Ass buzz has a lot to do with seat height too. I just put a 180mm dropper on my enduro and I find if I try to squash a jump or even just pump a roller, I’ll feel the tire buzz me. When I had a 125 post on the enduro, I never once got buzzed. First ride on the 180 I found myself in a lower position, and able to turn better, but got buzzed a couple times.

Good point too, I went from a 125 to a 170 dropper with the change of bikes.

I forgot to mention that I'm running an xl and am 190 cm tall, so ass buzzing is less of a problem for me in general.

Same here, 191 cm on an L sized Mondraker Foxy XR alloy that felt like a blessing from the very beginning and still seems like that. Dropper is standard 150 mm and it's enough.

Looks to be a 200mm postmount and is shown in the 180mm travel variety. Wonder if the will go up to 190.

Also the SX 27 has Schwalbe tires but the specs say Ass/Dissector.

absolutely, little birdy told me E8000 motors will be interchangeable too.

I'll believe that when I see it, but the source I got this from is a good one. I'm excited. The new steps firmware is excellent and it's hard to think how they can improve that. I'm thinking another 10-20nm of torque and most importantly HEAPS FUCKIN QUIETER! People can hear me from 200 yards away lol.
