Possibly a tease by Reece Wilson, but on his instagram story he is flying to the US and has "@aaron Gwin cats out the bag, hope you got a kettle over there". Suggests they may be on the same team?

Still betting on Trek... If the major cash injection happened at Intense like was mentioned a few pages back, I would have expected a beef up on the operation side of things before dropping a lot of coin on Gwin...

saw a story on bruni’s instagram where he was riding with „the enduro team“ and there were 3 riders on enduro bikes... but no names. i guess they were curtis keen, miranda miller and a new unknown Smile

edit: the story was deleted in the meantime so there must be something.

Could we also be looking at the Athertons moving to Scott as their Title/Frame sponsor?

Scott clearly has been working on a new bike design, as we saw for a good chunk of last year. Getting some wins under the bikes belt would be good advertising and with Rachel and somewhat back to form Gee up for grabs.. Who knows.

The Athertons also seem to be pretty valuable to a company when it comes to testing and what not. I doubt the session 29 would be where its at without having someone like Gee puting in the time that he did on helping develope that bike.

brendog is confirmed to stay with scott AFAIK, i think they are going full factory.

I feel Reece is fucking with the team rumors community. I really cant see Trek having Gwin, Wilson, Hatton and Edwards all on one team. If anything its more likely that Trek will have Wilson, Hatton and Kade next Year and Gwin and Neko have some new start up with Intense being the Frame sponsor or something.... But what the hell do I know haha

Remember that Marin is owned by Polygon and already has a similar trail bike. A Polygon is one of the few bikes to go faster than Ratchel in the last few years. I makes perfect sence that they'd shell out the money to hire the Athertons for media hype to kickstart sales of the suspension platform.

Also Athertons to Marin would actually be BIG NEW THINGS for them.
Remember, they are professional athletes, not some random guys hyping the product they like the most but the one they´ll be representing the next season. So despite us not seeing Marin as the next big thing for them, they sure as hell would make it seem like it in their announcements and press releases. So Rachel's posting is perfectly in line with the Marin rumours.
