Time to build the most expensive custom trail bike.
This time I'm not starting the build at all, so it's all up to you guys to find the goods.
The DH build came out kinda crazy, so let's lay down some rules for the trail bike build:
1. Find a post up a component or frame you think is the most expensive w/ a LINK showing MSRP. Including the
link saves me a lot of time so I'm not tracking down the cost. All prices will be USD.
2. Please check that whatever component you're proposing fits the current build. Shock size, bb, etc...
3. Post only components that are on the build list below. If I left something obvious out, like say tires, feel free to
point that out. This is just so we don't get people submitting gold leaf plated fenders and diamond top-caps.
4. Only components that are likely to be found on a professional's bike will be considered... ie, no bar ends or
crazy road bike saddles // cranks. True trail bike components only.
Here's the evolving build list so far:
Frame: Kingdom The Switch----------------------------------$4,182
Fork: X-Fusion Revel HLR-------------------------------------$1,766
Shock: PUSH ElevenSix (includes Ti Spring)-------------$1,200
Cranks:-------------------------------------------------------------?
Chainring:--------------------------------------------------------- ?
Bottom Bracket:--------------------------------------------------?
Headset:-----------------------------------------------------------?
Wheelset:Alchemist Enduro 27.5----------------------------$2,950
Derailleur:----------------------------------------------------------?
Cassette:-----------------------------------------------------------?
Chain:---------------------------------------------------------------?
Shifter:--------------------------------------------------------------?
Brakes: Tune Kill Hill AM Brakes----------------------------$893
Rotors: X-Rotor Carbon/Ti 180mm------------------------- $176x2
Bar: Thomson Ti Riser Bar (780mm)-----------------------$390
Stem: ENVE Carbon 50mm-----------------------------------$270
Grips:----------------------------------------------------------------?
Post:---------------------------------------------------------------- ?
Saddle:-------------------------------------------------------------?
Pedals: Reset Racing Pedal 3 Ti---------------------------- $669
Tires-----------------------------------------------------------------?
Chainguide:-------------------------------------------------------?
Total: $12,674
How high can we get this baller bike build to get?
Go!

Evil Insurgent: $2,799.00 - http://www.vitalmtb.com/product/guide/Frames,7/Evil-Bikes/The-Insurgent…
BOS Deville 160 Fork: $1130.00 - http://www.vitalmtb.com/product/guide/Forks,33/BOS/Deville-160,14974
$3500 USD

Race Face NeXT SL cranks.
ENVE cockpit
Race Face Turbine Dropper
Anyone know if any other shocks will fit on the yeti and work properly? I know it'll come up so we should figure that out now.
"The SB6c uses a 2.5” stroke, 8.5” eye-to-eye shock."
As per their FAQ.
"Can I put a coil shock on my SB6c?
Yes. The SB6C is designed for use with air or coil shocks."
I think there's a certain high-dollar new shock that just came out that'll fit the bill.
Oh, you mean one of these (Push Elevensix)? It's listed on their compatible frames. 1200 bucks
Santa Cruz's website "Carbon CC Frame & Rockshox Vivid Air R2C: $3249 USD"
Enve M60 pair of wheels with Chris King hubs goes for 2748$ according to their website.
If you can post links to the rims/hubs w/ MSRP I'll add them. I need individual prices for each component.
Wheelset @ $2850

$1766

(I don't think I can share specific builds from their site, but if you plug in all the same options you should see the same prices. $1665 front and $2085 rear. )
BMC trailfox is 4999 for the frame and shock alone.

But that's just for a plebeian air shock, and we want primo coil, right?

Tune Kill Hill brakeset with no rotors = $1026,63

2x CarbonTi X Rotor Steel/Carbon 180mm = $407,30
https://r2-bike.com/CARBON-TI-Disc-Rotor-X-Rotor-SteelCarbon-2-180-mm
Prices are converted to US Dollars
These bought in Aus would be closer to $2000- due to the Giant island tax.
Not sure if Tune components are considered crazy stuff that will not appear on a pro's bike but Trek is using their bits on their top end road bikes so i'd say that they are in the mass market now.
