Carbon - check.
Gearbox - check.
Belt drive - check.
DH bike - check.
Homebrew - double check.

Is it not interesting because it's not an e-bike?

Looks pretty cool to me. Thoughts?

Edit: this is nothing to do with me - I'm just a curious by-stander.

he's probably using it w/o much air to show the action. that's what we do at test sessions.

That might be the most sexual suspension I've ever seen. Anyone else?!?!?

That's rad. The idea is great. I wonder if lateral stiffness is enough to keep the shock from binding. Just an armchair observation.

same thoughts or just how side loading a shock affects long term durability

Cheers @sspomer. I think I caught it from the Ride.io FB, so props to them!

Yeh I'd love to get a closer look at how the shock works. Lateral stiffness could be an issue, but it's a pretty big pivot bearing for the main swingarm. Also looks like a pretty large diameter (Fox40?!) stanchion on the shock which should help.

A little digging. The « factory » is a garage on a residential street, which just happens to be on my riding buddies in-laws street. Next time he goes for a visit, he will go visit the “factory”. Hopefully he will do that soon and we can get some more info for everyone.

i don't think anyone is claiming this is the first "internal" shock ever. the total package is what's so fascinating IMO

Been getting a lot of attention on IG lately. Thing looks dope. Concerned about the lack of a linkage to help guide the seatstay though. It's like a massive yoke driven shock currently. Feel like it's going to put a lot of unnecessary loading on the shock and eat bushings.

I think it looks super cool, love how clean it is...Would love to see a lesser travel version. Props to ppl doing new things, I am personally a fan of anything minimal like this with not a lot of shit hanging off of it.

I wonder how you would access the shock for mount points? I saw this on IG and kept scratching my head. Pretty awesome regardless.

It's a downhill bike. You usually don't need one

This is the most sexy looking bike since i started MTB in 1990. and then it is the most obvious way of building a travel frame. If that thing works, and is supported by the riders (our bought by a brand), it will be the most obvious choice to build a bike. Doesn't matter if it is DH ox XC. I like it. Personaly i would like to see the 120mm EXC bike

Yes! That one was awesome! That was one of those situations where I had literally drawn out that exact design two days before I saw it. Any way, it seems to me that the answer to side loading would be a very robust, like an inch long at least, bushing internal to the shock.

I give the stanchion coating one wet day at Whistler BP.

It also looks increasingly rising rate. Not sure how that could be fixed? Maybe by using a link and positioning the shock in that main frame somewhere? Wink

They need to create white frame with black shock

I guess the shock is screwed into the frame on some threaded sleeve in the top tube ?
Wonder if affects heat or cooling being half covered up?

Good point on the cooling. Vents on the shock housing? Or ram air intake in the head tube?
