2016 Norco Factory Racing Team Introduction
For immediate release
Norco Bicycles is thrilled to announce its continued support of the Norco Factory Racing team. For the 2016 season, the roster includes Sam Blenkinsop, Harry Heath, and Fraser McGlone. The team will compete in the UCI World Cup downhill circuit, the entire Crankworx series, and select major events around the globe.
New to the team for 2016, is Scotland’s Fraser McGlone. With his best season yet in 2015, including a 24th place UCI World Cup finish at Lourdes, and a 23rd place UCI World Cup finish at Fort William, Fraser is quickly moving his way up through the ranks.
“What can I say… I am STOKED for 2016! I am a fan of Norco Factory Racing’s team and riders. I believe their team atmosphere, professionalism, focus, and fun environment will suit me well. I am just getting ready to meet the team in New Zealand in just over a week… so things are really exciting right now! Can’t wait to get the season started!" – Fraser McGlone
Sam Blenskinsop will be looking to build on the momentum he created during a strong 2015 season, with a podium at Fort William, 9th place overall in the UCI World Cup series, 7th place at the UCI World Championships, and the Crankworx DH World Tour Championship title.
“I am excited for Fraser to join our team. I don’t know him well, but I am looking forward to meeting up with him at our team camp in New Zealand in February. I’ll take him out fishing… and see what kind of guy he is – ha!” - Sam Blenkinsop
Also coming off of an exceptional 2015 season, including 20th place overall in UCI World Cup series, and two 9th place UCI World Cup series finishes, is the UK’s Harry Heath.
“It is going to be another great year of racing, traveling, and growing as a team in 2016. We have many exciting things happening this coming season, and I am looking forward to the challenges, growth, and pure enjoyment that come along with it.” - Harry Heath
Jack Iles and Magnus Manson will not be returning for the 2016 season. They will be focusing their attention on their careers and university. Both are not only great riders, but exceptional young men, and Norco Bicycles wishes both of them all the best in the future!
Physical, mental and nutritional preparation for the team will once again be under the PerformX regiment, Norco Factory Racing’s team Owner/Manager Todd Schumlick’s athlete training business. The team has been hard at work preparing for the 2016 season since October, and will now assemble for the first time at their team camp in New Zealand during February and March.
“Fraser is an exciting new addition to the team. In a short period of time, this guy has already impressed all of us. Plus he’s also a Scotsman… and I love Braveheart! Joking aside, I try and follow a ying/yang approach to most things in life. So as a team, we’ll put in our work, but enjoy the journey. If you make it to any of the events, pop by and say Hi to the team.” - Todd Schumlick
We’re looking forward to seeing what the team will accomplish in 2016.
That helmet in the background is a road moto helmet. What sport would you want a road helmet and burly moto boots for?
Gwin;s going to Pro World Shifter Cart next year with a cart built by Audi and a sweet KTM two stroke motor powering it.
I'm probably gonna have to start a Shifter Cart thread now.
All these jokes are lame now... Really only here for the news.
Regards !
But which Aussie is taking his spot? I'm certain that no-one on this thread would know much about him.
Thx, everything makes sense now
I love this game.

Press Release
After a first great season whether in terms of performance or media coverage, the SUNN Team is evolving in 2016 as they are welcoming a new rider. The two SUNN riders Kilian Bron and Thomas Lapeyrie will welcome Isabeau COURDURIER with open arms, under the benevolent eyes of Bruno DELABRE the team manager. 4th overall of the Enduro World Series in 2015, she will help the team to continue to improve.
Baptiste Colrat - SUNN brand manager
It is with great pleasure that we welcome a new rider in the SUNN TEAM. Isabeau has proven by her performances that she is a talented pilot. It was important for us to add a feminine touch to the team due to the history of SUNN and its investment in the competition. We are sure that Isabeau, Kilian and Thomas will proudly represent SUNN at the highest level with passion and willpower.
Isabeau Courdurier - new SUNN rider
As a competitor through and through and passionate about mountain biking since I was 6 years old, it is with great pleasure that I will ride for the SUNN enduro team. To take part to this project is for me a new challenge, a new opportunity and a new adventure. I’m looking forward to evolve throughout the season with this new team and try my best to stand on an EWS podium with my Kern LT. I am dedicated and committed to represent the brand.
What does SUNN mean to you?
I started XC racing 15 years ago on a SUNN Exact and I have always been very attracted by the brand. I like the brand’s philosophy and share its values. SUNN is legendary and I am very pleased to wear its colors in 2016.
How do you feel in this new team?
I feel very well in this new team. Kilian and Thomas are very good friends of mine for a few years already. Two very different personalities but which complement each other well. I feel listened to within the team and recognized in the same way as my two team mates. I immediately liked the concept of the Team and I’m looking forward to have a role to play.
Regardless what Gwin rides in 2016, Lee knew all along...
True industry insiders with real info keep their mouths shut. Fringe players like to imply they know more than they do. It's basically the same with every sport.
Eddie on an intense or something decent would put him right up there...
Apart from gwin ,what riders are left to have there new teams announced?
