Interesting point you're making. I can't know how they were run exactly, but I remember MS has always had one of the fancier pits on the circuit, since as far as I can remember going to WorldCups pretty much; it really stands out. How that translates into having an operation closer or further to being a privateer, I have to clue. What I can think of is that you have some top tier riders who are getting decent money and others who are on the fringe of being on any team. Depends on what the market of each rider was...

so b/r add-on is free until feb 24, then "starting" at $9.99. like dolface and others, i was fine to pay for gcn, a dedicated cycling app with a decent price, but not $20/mo for a bunch of other stuff. if i was a brand/sponsor of a world cup DH team, i'd be bummed. there is no way race program viewership will be worthwhile thanks to this change. let's hope juniors are still free on youtube (not holding breath for that either).

should we place bets on disco seeing the poor viewership and sub #'s after ft bill and then saying, "yeah, it's not worth paying to broadcast these anymore." cost/view has to be astronomical. (sorry for the dark outlook...sort of).

Jan 1 is new contracts go into effect. Brands will spend the next few weeks/months to built content to announce the new athlete or team. UCI will release the official team rosters days before the brands are scheduled to make their announcement.
