3/21/2026 1:29am Nothing the Fox shill said in this thread was anything to do with Tech Rumours or Innovation, which should be the topic as stated in the title. It's a real cool story that they came to post propaganda here, but maybe if they're going to cherry pick questions to answer, maybe it should go in it's own thread.

11/19/2025 9:40pm In honor of the 1000th page, we should vote on the best meme of 2025: 👍🏻 for “Crab” 👎🏻 for “6-7” edit: Carcinization is the antithesis of innovation. Maybe we should keep crab talk on the crab talk forum and keep this thread focused on MTB tech rumors and/or innovation.

two-one Added a comment about feature MRP Lift Damper Long-Term Review
10/22/2025 1:24pm If you have someone handy with a 3d printer around, you might make a small negative air volume spacer. By reducing the negative volume, you will have a lower static sag % with the same pressure, and therefore a softer airspring from sag. Don't go overboard though, or you'll reach 2010 levels of old-fashioned airspringstyle.

10/22/2025 1:18pm My buddies and I actually rode the stone king 1 day behind your group... we used your tracks to guide us to the right descents (there are quite a few different versions). I skipped that 700hm hike-a-bike at Tende though, I felt more like having a nap at that moment.

two-one Added a reply to Fox 38 air spring in Zeb chassis?
2/12/2025 9:19am I believe this guy actually engineered a similar air spring as the Fox38 to be used in other forks, maybe try this one out before you try to modify a fox spring to fit a zeb fork. https://www.instagram.com/rgtec_bike_components Luft Fusion air spring for Fox and Rockshox forks | eBay

2/7/2025 3:03am Huh, sounds like you're on the soft spring rather than firm. I was maybe 15lbs off your weight when I had mine and ran the firm coil with 10psi, rebound fairly closed, and can't recollect ever having a bad top out on it. Granted, the Pro looks like a way better option for huskier individuals, so I won't debate the matter. I was just curious since it was panned but no reason was given for the panning.

1/15/2024 10:58pm Yeah this is accurate! I have to say my favourite feedback is when someone tries to describe a feeling with sounds and actions because it seems much more like something bad they actually felt, as opposed to describing what they think they should be saying. As soon as someone tries to say the compression damping feels to firm or the rebound is too fast I almost immediately start looking elsewhere as most people actually can't feel those things! So I would need to dig deeper to find out why they think its rebound or compression that needs changing

1/15/2024 10:57pm Suspension setup talk makes me think of a line from a book. “Do you know how to tell a good lie, Master Amadu? I know how to tell a bad one. When people talk false, their words are muddy where they should be clear, clear where they should be muddy.” Rider’s expressions of how the suspension they’re giving feedback about are often unbelievably specific about a particular moment of the test ride, where how sensitive that rider is portraying themself to be is like some internet forum merit badge. People naturally copy each other’s language, making the lines you see...

10/24/2023 1:59pm Not all "poppets" are equal. You can design a valve to fit the same space, that resembles a poppet valve but isn't digressive to the same degree as an X2 or CCDB shock. See the cone valve/spool valve discussion a few pages back. The design of the main piston makes a difference too - a large, solid (or close to) piston driving a ton of oil will tend more towards digressive, but a smaller piston with progressive opening shims will be more linear. Either way, you can make different valves with wildly varying damping rates, and for different reasons so...

10/24/2023 10:02am Seems like a small valve for that... but I know the guys at vorsprung can perform magic, so I'm sure it'll be great

10/24/2023 8:29am That's odd, I thought Steve recently said on a podcast he didn't like the poppetvalve layout of the Fox DHX2 etc, because of the digressive rebound damping and space restriction.

9/10/2023 1:56am I've been watching pits bits from Les gets and I noticed something interesting, Scott team is running Shimano drivetrains and as expected they use saint cranks (real ones not like Laurie lol) but they are also on ochain, so it seems to me they either bodged it somehow (and I find that very hard to believe that they would remove the spider and we're able to somehow reliably reattach suitable mounting interface back on the crank arm) or possibly new saint cranks will be the same as previous generation just with dm chainring. The video in question https://youtu.be/vHhBc61VPXo?si=m1mJAVWcw6ZXrgx9 Scott section...

5/11/2022 3:19am Re: Neken stem Sometimes more is more, sometimes it's not. We all want a more comfortable and controlled ride. To that end, many riders want to add all the suspension: tires, rims, spokes, chassis, stem, bar, grips, gloves. The problem is that not all of it is effective at the same frequency or amplitude, and those that act on the same frequency and amplitude are not always of the same quality. For example, imagine if you wanted to create a DH set-up. You could take two XC air springs and dampers and just stack them on top of each other...
