Yep. "we're looking to develop a rider" was what he said. Tuhoto seems like a likely candidate and he's already got the name recognition among racing fans. Killed it in juniors and now needs help growing in the bigtime, . Finn had this as he's worked with Specialized and Loic and now, a few years out, got the number 1 quali. Matt Walker got Danny Hart and Will Longden. Syndicate seems to like being a international team so I think an up and coming American is unlikely. Kathy said in an Inside Line that they'd pick up a woman if...

The top guys don’t run what we run. If Loris wanted a boxxer to feel like a 40 they could make it so or or close. Each brands have their particular fee but they can get pretty close for the most part. The Boxxer is a winner and so is the 40 and so is Ohlins for that matter. Soft good deals can be a riders 2nd largest income source. So if a team that has a whole package would basically need to match or come close to what a rider needs that had multiple income sources. Syndicate let their...

I vote Luca Shaw. He's had some really good placings while looking so entirely in control. And didn't he get second once last year? I think he's had a good off season of training and mental focus and will come out swinging this year.

Since the inception of the EWS, there's been only 15 male winners. 6 of those have only won a single race. 6 of the 15 are retired (or at least not racing most of the calendar). So you only have 9 active winners, 6 active repeat winners. To suggest that these are the only riders people have heard of is ridiculous. Furthermore, in terms of reach, one of those active, repeat winners has less than 10k IG followers. Another has just 21k. Cody Kelley has 2.5x more IG followers than these two COMBINED. And in terms of actually selling bikes...

Cody on Specialized isn't crazy... They can use him in the North American series where he'll get better results.. Plus, for video parts and helping with product development, he'll be great!

By several accounts, Jack had signed on with a DH team but that team then pulled out. If that is true, that would say to me he still wanted to be all-in with DH. He needs to have a paycheck and expenses covered for racing, so by the time that happened, his DH options were likely limited. If he is disillusioned with anything, perhaps it is related to companies fulfilling their commitments.

LOL. This entire post shows how little you know about the sport and little time you've spent between the tape. I've been in the grey on the Richie/Graves thing the whole time. In fact, if anything, I've been super critical of Richie, mostly because his apology wasn't all that accountable. That said its 100% undeniable he's an incredibly gifted and talented bike handler with the grit and work ethic to back it up. There is no "system" of doping at Yeti. I'd bet every dollar I have on that one. The only shady things they do is arrange shuttles that...

if any of you think Commencal is going to let Pierron walk after his last two seasons you are out of your GOURD.

Does shutting down a website for a day really change anything? Are they shutting down the head office and shipping warehouses too? No cars driving in, no trucks picking up orders... Sorry, but shutting down the website for a day sounds like marketing fluff...

In case everyone missed it, Specialized is one of hundreds of other companies closing their doors on Friday in the name of climate change. While I'm sure there are others in the industry doing the same thing, the Big S is the only manufacturer of that caliber I'm aware of partaking. Without being overly political, I'm curious the collective's thoughts on this, though really it brings up a bigger question (which I'll get to below EDIT; for the TLDR crowd, the question is "should we make bikes/parts last longer" scroll down for the meat). As far as this Friday is...

Whoa. First off, that's a goober statement. I've been in DH since day 1. We went from wearing all spandex to trials riders getting us into Hammer lower leg neoprene mega-thick "pads" to JT Racing adding rubbery knee "pads" to a set of knee warmers to motocross pants with massive welded logos as "pads" with shin pads underneath to cut motocross pants with Dainese bibs under them to skate style knee pads under moto pants to suddenly pre-cut moto style DH shorts with Kyle Strait pads and/or Dainese "now separate" knee pads to legit DH shorts without all the pads...

Nope, That is his brother Walker's bike. He works, or has worked for Öhlins and was spotted testing the soon to be released Specialized Demo last summer at Snowshoe with Öhlins components.
