7/7/2025 9:27am People are asking for size L and XL to have the same proportions as size M. Ignore the total WB length number, there is no too long, and scale up the CS and stack to match the same proportion when increasing reach.

7/7/2025 9:25am I just don't want to be spread out over a bike. The more leaned over I am, the more pressure it puts on my hands and the less control I have over the bike's movement. I shouldn't be experiencing something completely different just because of my height. I should be getting the same experience on my size L bike as someone who fits a size S. Reach changes too much between sizes in proportion to stack height, and rear centre lengths don't change enough. Right now, there's more difference in ride feel between the same bike in two sizes than...

7/5/2025 9:47am I don’t think it’s silly if a rider wants a different character than the frame was designed with. Neko made a video testing different AR configurations and basically said its rider dependent on what they want.

6/29/2025 11:28am Sure would be cool if tire companies did a run of tires like the racers are on (example- the super duper softs that the Conti peeps are racing on)! Dunlop released the Factory Spec tires in the moto world which has been awesome. Id buy some some of these proper race spec tires in a heartbeat

6/27/2025 9:14am Felt this needed an echo to show that Fox is still Fox, inverted or not. You think the forks they sent Vital, PB, and all the other media outlets are like this. 😉

6/16/2025 2:37pm Some more shots from the Fox USD at Leogang: And seems like Specialized is running two different brake discs for the Brembos, the Hope-ish looking one with the round holes and another one with a lot bigger cutouts: There was also this raw alloy shim on the rear axle of Finn Iles' Levo which I have no idea about.

6/15/2025 10:46pm Hey, I’m Ryan Burney. I’ve been engineering bikes for 8 years, and this is a breakdown of what I’ve learned starting my own small business, Rim Saver. In this post, I’m sharing everything I’ve learned while launching a product business in the bike world. What worked, what didn’t, and what I’d do differently. If it helps even one person take the leap or avoid a mistake, it’ll be worth it. Background I made the first version of Rim Saver in college. The idea started out as a beadlock concept, then evolved into a beadlock with rim protection, then just rim...

6/14/2025 12:26pm I had a horrible creak coming from the BB/rear wheel a few years ago that I just could not solve. Pulled and tightened the shock bolts/pivot bolts/cranks/pedals/chainring and cleaned/greased the rear thru axle threads all to no avail. Turns out my hub axle had sheared but the cassette was still solidly on the wheel. One day I took the rear wheel off and layed it down and the cassette just fell off. Replaced the axle in the hub and it went away instantly.

6/14/2025 12:00pm Hafjell, Norway was a sick track. That huge gap up top some riders would pull for, the high speed rocks, open sections mixed with woods, and more. I thought that track had it all to be honest. And Norway is just cool overall, right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJNJZGrfv-I (Vital Raw 2011) 2012 UCI DH World Cup Finals - Hafjell (Specialized Team video 2012) "Tracks like this are the reason I got into the sport. This is more of a true mountain bike track than a lot of the stuff we've been riding this year. Few nice corners that remind me of Schladming, some...

6/12/2025 10:12am SInce it would be a World Cup & not a local race (i.e. fewer total racers), they could start up where WindMill crosses the gravel at the big camel hump rock drop. That would be fully shuttleable for the pros, add elevation and gnar. My brain has long forgotten if it WindMill can funnel into Middle Finger or Cave Man/SnakeRock. I think there are even old gas well pumps in a flat area there to put event tents for warm ups. But not much else. Best thing for WindRock is to push harder toward an old NORBA National format &...
