The trails I ride aren’t overly technical- loose over hard surfaces with a few short sections of rock gardens. I find 130mm mode is sufficient and really efficient for the flatter sections and climbs. 140mm mode allows more speed on the technical sections without too much drawbacks on the the flatter sections and climbs. 152mm mode is faster still on the technical sections, but I notice it doesn’t feel as sharp on more mellow parts of the track. I’ve only used 170mm mode twice and it’s definitely overkill for my local trails and to get the most out of it...

What travel setting/s do you find yourself using on this bike? Given that the weight stays fixed, do you find there is any disadvantage to upping it to 170mm? It is really fantastically light, and is a great change from the trend we've been seeing of bikes getting heavier and heavier even at the short travel end of things.
