Nicolai + Pinion will never be the lightest starting point for any build. I think you can still drop about a 3-4 LBS on this setup, by using different hubs, no flat pedals, Berd spokes on lighter rims, no powdercoat/no decals, and some Schmolke grade stuff here and there. I considered all of that, but in the current form this is the lightest bike I had since 2012.
I'm not a racer, one could even go as far and say I'm a sort of snail. But most weight sits outside of the rotational mass, that was important...

Certainly! It is a Nicolai GAM-PI size L. The Geo of that one has been similar for a couple of years now. Head angle: 65 Seat angle: 76.5 Reach 495mm chainstay length ~460mm wheelbase: 1266mm This could have been a much steeper/shorter bike in all regards, but I really like it this way. It tracks great, it gives confidence and as I'm 45, I don't think I would be breaking any race records anyway.
I know it might be a bit of a deep sit for an adventure bike, but one of the goals was to drop the front...

Looks great, could you give some geo numbers ? SA looks quite steep particularly for a HT, chainstays look long even with a gearbox
